Kalunda vs Da Rocha
After reigning champion, Dricus du Plessis, had to decline fighting either Kalunda or Da Rocha due to his scheduled title defence at the European MMA promotion, KSW, it was decided that there should be an interim title.

Kalunda holds a remarkable seventy-five percent finish rate evenly spread between TKO and submission victories. He is undefeated in both his amateur and professional MMA career and would like to follow fellow countrymen Dalcha and Kabesa to become the DRC’s third EFC champion.

Jose Da Rocha has only shown a snippet of his talent in the MMA hexagon. He suffered a debut loss against Du Plessis but has proven himself with back-to-back victories since then. The Brazilian is equally strong in striking and submission and with his Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, he will give Kalunda and run for his money.

Prediction: It’s probably the best matched fight yet in terms of skill and experience. But Kalunda is hungry to take this one, and that may just be what is needed.

Current EFC Betting odds: Kalunda 2/1 versus Da Rocha 1/3

Moyo versus Vanderaa
Zimbabwe’s Elvis Moyo takes on USA’s Jared Vanderaa for the heavyweight title. This bout will see two of MMA’s most powerful strikers come head to head. The “Bomber” Moyo has extremely strong striking skills and his high level boxing and strong endurance make him a formidable contender. The “Mountain” from the USA is equally as strong at striking and has had 6 wins to 3 losses in his MMA career.

Prediction: Given their equally strong striking skills this should be an interesting bout, but Vanderaa should take it.

Current EFC Betting odds: Moyo 3/1 versus Vanderaa 1/5
