Nicolas Pepe is one of the hottest young properties in European football. The French-born Ivory Coast international had an outstanding season for Lille in Ligue 1, scoring 22 goals in 38 league games while generally playing as a winger.

This production, in a league that has produced countless outstanding exports over the years, has piqued the interest of all the big hitters in Europe and it seems to be odds on that Pepe will be playing his football in a country other than France next term.

Originally it was thought that the Premier League clubs would have the inside track on Pepe, with Manchester United, Liverpool, and Manchester City all looking to capture his signature. Inter Milan are another club that have expressed their interest, but at this point, it seems like the Bundesliga and Bayern Munich is Pepe’s likely landing point.

The German club have a combination of the 70 million pounds that will be required to buy Pepe and, because Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery have both left the club, they have openings on the wings that all but guarantee Pepe a starting spot.

Bayern are currently 0.25 favourites with BetXChange for the Bundesliga next season, while Lille are 25.00 fourth favourites in France.
