Manchester United look set to beat Arsenal in the race for the PSG’s Thomas Meunier. Unai Emery had hoped that his link with the club could put the Gunners in pole position, but the rebuilding job at Old Trafford seems a more attractive option for the Belgium international.

The right-back had played against United in the Champions League earlier in the season, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has clearly identified the right-back position as somewhere that the club must strengthen.

Ashley Young had been the clubs preferred option throughout the season, but the Englishman has been prone to mistakes throughout the season and his natural defensive abilities are solely below the standard that is needed for the Red Devils.

Meunier would be an excellent signing for United and would see their price of 20.00 with BetXChange to win the Premier League next season a possible decent bet for punters.

The 27-year-old scored five goals in 32 appearances last season for PSG; with one of the goals coming against Champions League winners Liverpool in the group stages.
