We reported earlier this month how it seemed like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang might be on his way out of North London this summer.

Aubameyang, who turned 30-years-old this week, was an absolute beast for Arsenal last season when he scored 32 goals in all competitions during his first full season at the club.

The club record signing, he cost £56 million during the winter window in 2018, is the type of turnkey player that manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to bring through the doors at Old Trafford this summer.

Manchester United need to rebuild all over the pitch and they need to bring in players that can contribute immediately. This usually means Premier League experience, thus the interest in the Gabonese star.

Aubameyang won’t be cheap. The fee would have to be more than Arsenal paid Borussia Dortmund for his services, so something in the region of £70 million would be required.

It is a large amount of money for a player who is nearer the end of his career than the beginning, but with Romelu Lukaku just not getting the job done up top for United it might be a price that they are willing to pay.

Manchester United are currently the fifth favourites for the Premier League title at 22:00 with BetXChange. This is one place better than Arsenal at 27.00.
