The Masters 2015 has been a thrilling event! A Green Jacket has been presented to a brand new recipient in Jordan Spieth. The 21 year old has broken records and founded himself countless new fans after what was one of the greatest Masters victories of all time. Spieth could not be caught from the very first day, making him only the fifth golfer to win the Masters by leading from the first day to the last. Day one was certainly the winner for the young man from Texas as he finished off with an 8-under-par. The closest competitors on the first day were Ernie Els, Charlie Hoffman, Jason Day and (most importantly) Justin Rose who were all three behind at 5-under.Masters Betting

Spieth opened the lead up on the second day by breaking the halfway record and sitting at 14-under-par. What surprised most about Spieth’s performance was the experience and discipline the young man played with. Every hole was measured, and Spieth would systematically land on the fairway neatly, before landing on the putting green and putting it in the hole. This is what has given him a record breaking 28 birdies in this year’s Masters. At the end of day two it was only Charlie Hoffman who stayed in touch at 9-under while Justin Rose was at 7-under.

Saturday might have been considered a slip-up for the American if he had lost on Sunday after he made two bogeys in a row. He still ended the day 2-under-par though, which pushed him down to a total of 16-under par. Justin Rose’s brilliant display on Saturday would have had Spieth worried as Rose dropped to 12-under while Phil Mickelson and Charlie Hoffman prowled just behind the Englishman.

Sunday was as clinical for Spieth as every other day, while Rose did well to catch the youngster. Spieth claimed a record-breaking 18-under low while Rose ended off at 14-under. An eagle by Phil Mickelson helped the American to equal Rose while world number one Rory McIlroy made brilliant work on his comeback and finished in fourth with 12-under.
