Round 19 of the 2025 F1 season is located in the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas, where the upcoming weekend promises fantastic battles and tense racing. As the title race tightens heading into the final stretch, all eyes are on the leader, Oscar Piastri, who holds a 22-point advantage over his McLaren teammate, Lando Norris, with six rounds remaining.
Though we have to say that Max Verstappen found his groove, and the reigning champion wants to beat the odds and come back into the title battle, as there is apparently enough time for him to make a surge. However, Verstappen would need to win this one to keep him in the mix.
Here are some F1 betting odds.

US Grand Prix 2025 Preview
The FIA has already classified Austin as a “heat hazard” event, with temperatures expected to eclipse 34 degrees Celsius during Saturday’s sprint and qualifying. Sunday’s 56-lap race kicks off at 21:00 SAST, promising not just scorching conditions but potentially pivotal championship drama in the Texas heat.
Circuit of the Aericas, or COTA as the fans call it, has a specific track terrain due to all the bumps it contains. They are a consequence of the marshy track foundations, causing the tires to wear off quickly. So the tactics here are going to be different than usual, and possibly they could change during the race itself.
Title Race – Verstappen Comes Back
For the last three races, the McLaren drivers haven’t managed to win, and that’s something just a few expected given their previous dominance. Because of this, Verstappen’s title chances are still alive, and the tension between Piastri and Norris reaches its peak.
Oscar Piastri wasn’t good at all in recent times. He had a podium, one unfinished race, and a fourth-place, which is a big slowdown compared to his blistering early-season form. Given that he didn’t perform well here in the past, his fans are anxious. Austin hasn’t always been kind to the Australian, either, with just a fifth-place finish and one DNF from his previous visits.
Q: Do you think McLaren are favoring Lando over Oscar, and if so, does that help you?
Max: *laughs* "Absolutely! someone, I don't know.. I heard something.."

Norris, meanwhile, is trying to cut the deficit. He hopes to build on his strong 2023 showing here, when he finished runner-up to Max Verstappen. He desperately needs a win to boost not only the title chances but his morale, because even though he has two podiums in the past three events, Piastri is 22 points away.
Verstappen himself remains a constant threat. The Red Bull driver has rediscovered consistency with four consecutive podiums – two wins and two second finishes. He also has two poles in the last three races, which makes his form impeccable. Although he sits 63 points behind the leader, Verstappen’s current shape suggests he could still shake things up, especially here, where he performs well.
Mercedes’ Nice Progress
Mercedes enters the Austin weekend with a huge swing following George Russell’s win. The Brit’s Singapore victory reminded everyone of his true potential, as well as Mercedes’, with the team confirming that he stays alongside Kimi Antonelli for the 2026 campaign. Russell has the best finishing average over the past five races with Verstappen, but his history here at COTA is somewhat mediocre, with just two fifth-place finishes to date.
Antonelli is quietly doing a very good job in his rookie season, showing flashes of potential and gradually improving his awareness and adjusting to the new environment. This isn’t too important for the moment, but it could indicate that Mercedes might have a very competitive duo next season, one that might even attack the constructors’ title.
Ferrari’s Struggle
Charles Leclerc returns as the defending United States GP winner, though his 2025 campaign has been disappointing. With five podiums but no wins, the guy from Monte Carlo hopes that he might finally reach the top spot. Though, we will tell you right away, the Prancing Horse has no power to compete with the previous three teams.
Lewis Hamilton is enduring a dry spell without a single podium so far. The legend of the sport looks terrible this year, but to be honest, it’s not up to him; it’s up to the vehicle, which is mediocre.
As for the other drivers, we have to mention Williams’ Carlos Sainz. The Spaniard and the former Ferrari driver have joyful memories here with two consecutive Austin podiums.
