It has been a fractious tournament for holders USA, and they will need to find form quickly against Sweden. Writing off a team as successful as the USA is always dangerous though and their players look to have a bit of a point to prove currently, making them the wise choice to progress here.

Nigeria will be looking to shock the world as they take on European champions England. Nigeria will make this tough, but England should ultimately get the job done and reach the last 8.

One of the toughest games to call in the last 16 pits Australia against Denmark. The Aussies shows mettle to overcome Canada and reach the knockout rounds, carrying the hopes of a nation with them once again here. Denmark progressed behind England, without having to show their best football and they could be dangerous here, but home advantage could prove telling for Australia.

Two serious surprise packages face off, with Colombia taking on Jamaica for a place in the last 8. Jamaica meanwhile ousted Brazil in one of the all-time World Cup shocks and they too have no sense of fear and plenty of belief. This will be tight, with perhaps key players for Jamaica deciding it.

France haven’t been at their fluent best so far at the World Cup, but they are in the last 16 and they play Morocco next. Morocco meanwhile, outdid Germany to reach the knockout rounds and they have plenty of quality to hurt France, but les Blues should prevail here and reach the quarter finals.
