The most notable tennis Grand Slam tournament in the world, the famous Wimbledon, started recently. As usual, BetXchange will make a preview of this massive sports event, including all the important information, and eventually a pick with the odds in conclusion.
The matches at the All England Club will no doubt be the main thing in the sports world over the upcoming two weeks, and that is why we decided to cover it in the first place.

Without Daniil Medvedev and the rest of the Russian tennis players, Novak Djokovic is by far the top favorite to win the trophy, according to all the bookmakers. The Serb already has six title wins here and is the latest champion in London, meaning the Djoker simply has to be the top favorite for the silverware.
Despite his failure at Roland Garros and a few other pale performances along the way, the 20-time Grand Slam champion has a massive motive to win this championship. Many analysts write Novak off, the whole elite in tennis is opposite to him due to his stance on vaccination; and overall, he’s become a bad boy ever since he disagreed with the mainstream media about several questions.
He didn’t play a single tournament on the grass, but that is nothing new to this guy who already won Wimbledon following a similar pattern.
Meanwhile, Rafael Nadal is the second seed, but the Spaniard isn’t very good on the grass. Plus, he carries a lot of injuries and fatigue from Roland Garros. That is why many believe that Matteo Berrettini might be the one who replaces Rafa in the battle with Novak.
The two met last year in the finals, and Novak won. But this time, the Italian is coming to London with two titles on the grass, in Stuttgart and Queens.
Carlos Alcaraz is the new star on the ATP Tour, and he is also among the biggest favorites. Now, we do love the young Spaniard, but his game is way below the level of Novak’s or Berrettini’s play here.
Other players who might be in the mix are Hubert Hurkacz, who won Halle, and is solid on the grass. The Pole showed some very good performances this season, and he is definitely worth keeping an eye on.
The rising Felix Auger-Aliassime, Nick Kyrgios, and Stefanos Tsitsipas are in the next batch, with all three having similar odds. Kyrgios was in two semis before this tournament, and we never know when he might explode. Tsitsipas is always near the top, while Felix constantly improves.
In our opinion, these guys have the most chances of winning the trophy.
Previous Events
Novak won the previous three competitions here, in 2018, 2019, and 2021. The 2020 edition didn’t take place due to COVID-19 pandemics. He was better than Berrettini in the last year’s finals, 3-1, and before that, beat Federer and Kevin Anderson.
Roger has eight trophies which are the most of any player, while William Renshaw and Pete Sampras hold seven titles. Novak comes after with six.
Prediction
We can clearly see Novak in the finals here, while the path in the other part of the draw is pretty nasty. Berrettini and Auger-Aliassime have the best chances of reaching the finals, but in our humble opinion, they can’t match Novak’s play on the grass.
The Serb’s return is masterful and creates a massive difference, particularly here in London, where he moves much better than his rivals.
That is why we predict Novak’s victory and his seventh Wimbledon title.
