Napoli hosts Juventus this Saturday night at Diego Armando Maradona Stadium. These two units have a bitter rivalry because of their past and plenty of other factors. Throughout history, we’ve seen several fantastic and epic clashes not only in the Serie A but on the international stage as well.
When it comes to this particular meeting, Napoli is in a must-win situation, with the champions sitting ninth in the standings, being far away from the top of the table, yet still having a chance to reach the fourth place and the Champions League spot. As for Juve, they are out of the title race, sitting second, safe when it comes to the UCL ticket.
Napoli’s Shaky Form
We don’t know what happened with the champions this year. For sure, Spalletti’s departure is one of the main reasons why this unit isn’t near the top anymore, but on the other hand, the team is more or less the same, with a few modifications. Meanwhile, the drop in form has been terrible, and there isn’t a fan who didn’t notice that the chemistry in the locker room is awful.
After four games in a row in which this unit didn’t win, success finally came this Wednesday when this unit defeated Sassuolo on the road, 1-6, which was an unexpected outcome. It’s nothing strange to see Napoli winning, but this big of a difference is shocking. Particularly this season, with all the struggles and problems.
Interestingly, five of the previous six meetings this unit had all saw both teams scoring, but only two of those matches ended with three or more goals. Four of the last five in Naples were with moderate efficiency, meaning 2 or 3 goals.
Juventus’ Title Farewell
After losing to Inter, everyone realized that Vlahovic and the company wouldn’t be in the mix for this year’s Scudetto. Simply, the Old Lady isn’t at the same level as Inter, even though they have extraordinary individuals who can play in the best European teams.

Juve had a four-game streak during which they couldn’t win, with them posting two ties and defeats throughout that period. In two of those events, the team didn’t score. Luckily, all this stopped in the previous round, when Old Lady defeated Frosinone at home 3-2, despite losing along the way.
Juventus was excellent on the road until recently, and now this crew has back-to-back victories without a victory. The first was a 1-0 loss to Inter in Milan, and the second was a tie in Verona 2-2, which was a big blow. That was the moment when fans and the public realized this team couldn’t chase Inter and the title.
Napoli vs. Juventus Predictions
As we can see, neither of these two units has had enough consistency over the past few weeks, which is one of the reasons why the results aren’t that shinny. The respective defenses showed plenty of problems, often failing to keep clean sheets even in those games involving lower-ranked rivals. Because of all this both teams netting looks like the best possible solution for this event.
When examining the rosters of these teams, there is a big imbalance between the offense and defense, which is another reason why we believe this encounter won’t end with at least one hit on both sides.
BetXchange has a good offer for this pick, and in our opinion, we need to go for it. You should check out all the markets because there might be more surprises and high odds.
