The latter mentioned a lot for Arteta and the boys, with Aston Villa being the team that inflicted the key loss that cost Arsenal the title.
The presence of Declan Rice would have undoubtedly bolstered Arsenal’s confidence and control. But the strong midfielder is out due to a reckless and, may we say, stupid red card he received against Brighton. He is a force in the midfield, but the Gunners will have to find a way to compete with the Spurs without him.
