After OKC Thunder took the NBA title, there’s another delight for the NBA fans – the NBA draft. The most talented boys from around the world will gather in Brooklyn, New York. On the other hand, the NBA teams will pick the very best of them, who will make the jump to the best league in the world.

As you know, there are two rounds in which all 30 teams make their picks. Some teams have more picks, while others have none, depending on their past business moves. This year, the No.1 selection is in Dallas, where the Mavericks anxiously wait to pick up Cooper Flag. Yet more about that later.

Top Prospects in the 2025 NBA Draft

As stated, Cooper Flagg is the top pick, and everyone is already aware of this. He established his name a couple of years ago, and there were no doubts about Flagg being the No. 1 selection. This will come in handy for the Mavs, who traded Luka to the Lakers this year and now have injured Anthony Davis and Kyrie Irving.

Flagg is said to be a game-changer and the one who might shift the balance of power, no matter where he lands. Unlike Zion, who was the last such player, this one has discipline and isn’t injury-prone, which is a significant advantage over any other prospect.

Behind him is Rutgers’ 6’10” Ace Bailey, who is a very intriguing player; there aren’t too many guys with his athleticism in the league, and we are pretty sure he will be in the top three picks. The same goes for his teammate, Dylan Harper. Unlike Bailey, this guy isn’t that physical, yet his IQ is incredible, and he has a bright future in the NBA with a bit of luck.

Other than that, there is Tre Jones, a guard from Texas, who is a very versatile guard with excellent dynamics in his game. There aren’t too many backcourt scorers like him in the draft, and he could make an impact in the league right away.

Draft Steals

Derik Queen is arguably the most complete center in this NBA draft. He comes from Maryland and isn’t as hyped as Khaman Maulach, who is from Duke, which automatically kicks you five places above in the draft. Queen is not that athletic yet he has all sorts of moves in his offensive arsenal. When it comes to his physique, the NBA will have to improve it and if he manages to endure that, he will be an All-Star player.

Now comes another big fella, only this one is from Serbia. His name is Bogoljub Markovic, and he also plays for Mega, the team from which Nikola Jokić was drafted by the Nuggets. Markovic is a 6-11 scorer with excellent handling skills but also with around-the-rim technique. He needs to build up some muscle, but overall, this guy might be a great addition due to his technique and versatility.

Big Challenge Ahead for all the Draftees

Whoever gets picked knows that this isn’t a finale or a reward for their hard work, but rather the opposite, because they must then start working even harder and also feel the pressure. The media will be all after them, as well as the fans who have high expectations yet low tolerance when it comes to waiting.

Flagg is already labeled as the next big thing, an All-NBA player in his first season, and we can’t wait to see how he responds.

All in all, this NBA draft should be interesting, as well as the guys who will be selected.
