Premier League 2025/26

The Premier League returns, and finally all the fans have something to be happy about. Arguably the best domestic football competition in the world kicks off this Friday night with a game between the champions, Liverpool and Bournemouth.

This is a brief preview of the season, highlighting the most interesting topics, so stay tuned and read on. For those looking EPL odds, here they are.

Title Contenders and Top 4 Hopes

Liverpool is the top favorite to win the title this season. The Reds have spent more than $350 million, and their transfer window is not over yet. If they land Alexander Isak from Newcastle, that sum could easily break the half a billion mark. Additionally, they are targeting Marc Guehi and several other players as well.

Champs are looking pretty good, but they will have tough rivals in the title battle. No. 1 is Arsenal, but we have to mention Chelsea and Manchester City. These four teams are likely to end among the top 4 teams in the end.

Sure, there can be some surprises. For instance, Manchester United added several superstars, like Sesko or Cunha, we simply think that the Red Devils aren’t that good. Newcastle is in trouble with Isak, and their whole concept on the field is done if he isn’t playing. Tottenham and Aston Villa aren’t performing better than they did last year, so we have the right to think that these teams won’t be in the top 4.

Relegation Battle

Teams that entered the EPL from the Championship are top contenders for relegation – Burnley, Sunderland, and Leeds. There’s not much to discuss here, as when we examine the overall situation, these teams have the most affordable rosters and don’t have many superstars.

Also, the past few years have shown us that usually, at least two of the three promoted teams are back in the Championship next season.

Apart from these units, we must mention Brentford, whose manager, Thomas Frank, has left for Tottenham, which is a significant blow for the Bees. After all, he was the one who made their rise possible with the system imposed and his clever leadership over the recent years.

Key Transfers

Benjamin Sesko $90 million to Manchester United

Red Bulls’ young and fantastic striker surely isn’t the biggest transfer in this EPL preview, but we believe he is going to matter the most and be the most impactful on the new club.

Sesko is a player who will bring a new dimension to United’s attack, and alongside Cunha and Mbuemo, the Red Devils could form a fantastic offensive trio. And remember that Ruben Amorim likes to attack and dictate the pace.

Florian Wirtz $157 million to Liverpool

This is the guy who can shift the balance of power not only in the domestic league but in Europe. That’s why Liverpool wanted to get him, and they did. With Wirtz, they have a mix of De Bruyne and Coutinho, meaning they automatically become one of the top, if not the biggest, contenders for winning the UCL. Of course, Liverpool already is the top favorite for the EPL title.

Viktor Gyokeres $77 million to Arsenal

This is the piece that Arteta and Arsenal lacked over the years. The guy who is a lethal striker and who has the consistency of scoring, no matter whether he has enough support or is alone. Believe us when we say that Gyokeres’ arrival at Emirates could be one of the best deals in Arsenal’s recent history.

Mohamed Kudus $70 million to Tottenham

This one slipped under the radar, and we wanted to bring it to your attention. Kudus is one of the best midfielders in the world, but his quality couldn’t shine in West Ham. Yes, he was excellent, but Kudus should be much better at Tottenham, which plays a more suitable style of football for the Ghanaian forward.
