It was a smashing weekend for South African Branden Grace as he became the first player to win back-to-back Qatar Masters golfing titles.
The 27 year old came into the final round two shots behind two-time champion Paul Lawrie. Grace managed to hold off the chasing pack to get to 14 under and win a seventh European Tour title by two shots from Rafa Cabrera-Bello and Thorbjørn Olesen.
Says the graceful Grace: “It’s great, I’m pretty much at a loss for words.”
With this type of performance, Grace is hoping to get into the World Golf Top 10 ranking soon, and no doubt he should.
