The DStv Premiership has reached the business end with teams jostling for the much needed points to boost their ambitions at the top, middle and at the bottom of the table.
Log-leaders Mamelodi Sundowns and struggling Kaizer Chiefs are not involved in league action this weekend because of their commitments in the Caf Champions League against CR Belouizdad of Algeria and Horoya (Guinea respectively.
The other South African team that will not be in league action this weekend is Orlando Pirates who are playing against Al Ahly Benghazi of Libya in the Caf Confederation Cup.
Despite not playing in the league this weekend, Sundowns will not be overtaken at the top of the log but second and third placed Golden Arrows and AmaZulu have a chance of narrowing the gap to three points with respective wins.
Stellenbosch vs AmaZulu
AmaZulu are currently the form team in the DStv Premierhsip having won their last five matches over Kaizer Chiefs, SuperSport United, Chippa United, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) and Black Leopards to climb to third spot.
A win against unpredictable Stellenbosch will see Usuthu move to third spot on the log and narrow the gap on log-leaders Mamelodi Sundowns which will be a significant feat for coach Benni McCarthy and his players.
AmaZulu will have to be at their very best against Stellenbosch who are battling in the middle of the table.

Cape Town City vs SuperSport United
These are two teams that have struggled greatly over the past league five matches where they have both failed to register a win.
During this highly unproductive spell of five matches, City and United both registered similar results of four draws and one loss and that has resulted in them dropping a few places down on the standings.
They are both disparate for maximum points to boost their ambitions of moving a few places up on the ladder during this critical stage of the season where all teams are fighting to solidify their respective positions.

TS Galaxy v Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM)
TS Galaxy will fancy their chances of walking away with all the three points at home against this highly inconsistent TTM side who have lost their last three matches in the league and are hunted by possibility of relegation at the end of the season.
TTM will have to start getting positive results as soon as possible if they are going to avoid the dreaded chop and their mission of doing that is going to be difficult one against the TS Galaxy side that want to protect their place in the top eight.

Golden Arrows vs Bloemfontein Celtic
This is one of the matches to look forward to this weekend because Arrows have an opportunity of closing the gap on Mamelodi Sundowns to three points at the top of the standings.
Getting all the three points is not going to be an easy task for Arrows against the Celtic side that wants to move away from the bottom half of the table and they won their last match against TS Galaxy at home last weekend.

Swallows v Black Leopards
On a run of nine matches without a win, eight draws and one loss, Swallows are under increasing pressure to get back to winning ways against bottom of the log Black Leopards.
Because of the recent poor run of form, Swallows coach Brandon Truter is under scrutiny but he will fancy his team’s chances against the Leopards side who have lost four and drawn one of their last five matches andn remain favourites for automatic promotion.
