The first mid-week round of the English Premier League is set for the upcoming few days, and we can’t wait for it to start. It practically means that we will have plenty of games in a short period of time. Stay tuned with BetXchage to see what is on the menu today.
Leeds United VS Everton
The Peacocks are playing solid and good football this year, and despite them losing to Brighton on the road this Saturday, 1-0, we can say that Leeds’ overall impression is more than positive. Two wins, a draw and a defeat, are OK for the moment. The offense is doing its part of the job well, missing to score multiple goals only against the Seagulls, counting in the win over Barnsley in the EFL Cup, 3-1.
Meanwhile, Everton is still without a win in the Premiership, losing the opening two events and, after that, posting two draws. At first, the Toffees lost to Chelsea and Aston Vila before playing 1-1 against Nottingham and Brentford. Three of four of these games were with both teams scoring and with 2 or 3 goals.
We are going with the hosts winning this one because of their better form, and even though Everton shows signs of improvement, Leeds should win here due to a home-field edge and the fact that they play faster and more flamboyant football.

Manchester City VS Nottingham Forest
The Citizens allow the rivals to have a head start before showing their power in the second half. After erasing Newcastle’s lead on the road, Guardiola’s boys did the same against Crystal Palace, whom they managed to defeat 4-2 in the end, following a two-goal deficit. Haaland is already accustomed to English football, but that is easy when he possesses unreal abilities.
On the other side, the former European champions lost after three games in a row, counting in the EFL Cup and a road win over Grimsby, 0-3. Tottenham visited City Ground, winning 0-2 in the end and showing the hosts a difference between an average and a top team in the EPL.
The upcoming challenge is even tougher for Nottingham, who needs to face Manchester City at the Etihad. There isn’t too much to say here, because anything else than City’s big win would be a surprise.

Arsenal VS Aston Villa
The Gunners are the hottest team in the Premiership right now. The only unit with a perfect score in the league is awaiting Aston Villa, intending to post their fifth consecutive victory. After Crystal Palace, Arsenal, Bournemouth, and Fulham, the Villains are the next target for Jesus and the crew, who scored 11 goals in the opening four rounds.
Villa lost three and won only one game, against the mediocre Everton, 2-1, while failing to Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, and West Ham. On two occasions, the Villains couldn’t score, and the situation for Steve G’s boys isn’t comfortable at all.
And in our humble opinion, it will be worse after this event. The Gunners are a better team and should win this clash, so their triumph here is our pick.
Pick: Arsenal Wins 1/2 at BetXchange
Liverpool VS Newcastle
The Red found their groove, humiliating Bournemouth, 9-0. Even without Nunez and several other players, this unit showed all of its rage and power, smashing the Cherries.
The Magpies are coming to Anfield massacred with injuries, with Saint-Maximin, Guimaraes, Shelvey and Wilson out, so there isn’t too much hope for them.
That’s why we bet on Liverpool’s win with a two-goal margin.
Pick: Liverpool -1.5 9/10 at BetXchange
