2022 Heineken Cup – Round 2 Bet Preview:
Following an enthralling opening round of action in the Heineken Cup, all 24 sides will be raring to go again heading into round 2. For the likes of Leinster, Exeter and defending champions La Rochelle, momentum will be key as they look to make it two wins from two.

Leinster will be looking to make it two wins from two, as they take on Gloucester. With both sides bagging opening day wins, confidence is set to be high in both camps in Pool A. When it comes to Heineken Cup rugby, few sides enjoy as rich a history as Leinster, who are sure to be there or thereabouts when it comes to the end of the season. Meanwhile, Gloucester will be looking to build on their opening day win over Bordeaux – knowing full well that this will be a tougher test.

Another Anglo-French tie on the horizon pits Lyon against Saracens. For Lyon, this will be a chance to bounce back quickly after just being edged out by Blue Bulls last weekend. They are a side packed with decent players though and they should be bang up for this one, especially at home. Saracens by contrast won their opener over Edinburgh by the barest of margins and they will want to take as much momentum as possible from that. This will be another close one, but Saracens should get the job done on the road.

Saracens will be bang up for this one and they should come out on top here against a tricky Lyon side.

Two teams on the receiving end of defeats in their opening game will be looking to put points on the board, as Northampton take on Munster. La Rochelle had way too much for Northampton last time out, but it is not games such as that they will be judged on this term. Meanwhile, Munster lost out on a tight one to Toulouse last weekend, but they are one side to keep an eye on in the eyes of many to go all the way this year. This will be another tight one, with Munster most likely to hold their nerve on the road.

One of the most exciting ties of the second round is the Exeter Chiefs vs the Blue Bulls of South Africa. Exeter are still regarded as newcomers in Heineken Cup rugby, but they have a side packed full of talent and they could seriously do some damage this season in the competition. The Blue Bulls meanwhile will revel in their role as party poopers, representing South Africa in Europe’s biggest rugby tournament. Whilst the odds suggest otherwise, this could be an exciting fixture here down on the South Coast.
