Premiership is back! That’s why fans worldwide are thrilled as they await a kick-off to the best football league in Europe and probably on the globe. Let’s dive into a short yet very detailed preview of the upcoming season, which will include the top favorites to win the title, get relegated, and win the Golden Boot.

City Win the Title Again?

Pep Guardiola’s crew is still the biggest favorite for the title. Even though Julian Alvarez left, the Citizens have the best team, not only because of all the players on their roster but also because their chemistry remained intact.

We can say the same about Arsenal, which has kept all of its top stars and key players. The Gunners are now one season older and more experienced, which is why many see them as the top challengers. Some think this might be the moment for Arteta’s unit to dethrone the Citizens.

Liverpool lost Jurgen Klopp, yet got Arne Slot. This could be a jackpot for the Reds who needed some fresh blood and energy. Regarding their playstyle, it will be the same with some upgrades and minor changes. Though, the atmosphere will be much more feisty with the former Feyenoord head coach.

United, Tottenham, Villa, and other teams are all in the mix for the UEFA Champions League spot. We deliberately left Chelsea out because we aren’t too sure about the moves Blues’ management does.

Is Leicester Going Back to the Championship?

The Foxes suffered a huge blow when they lost Enzo Maresca, who will now lead Chelsea. Leicester’s roster wasn’t improved during the transfer window. However, we don’t believe in their relegation because too many players have already competed in the EPL and have enough experience.

Southampton and Ipswich are also top contenders for returning to the second tier of English football, with Nottingham Forest and Everton sitting right behind. The Toffees have avoided relegation for quite some time, always clawing their way out of the hole in the last rounds. They look like a team that might finally go down.

Haaland After Another Golden Boot

The absolute favorite for winning the Golden Boot is Erling Haaland, whose odds are far shorter than those of any other player. With Alvarez out, we can expect him to play even more games; plus, he already has great chemistry with all the other players in the lineup.

Mo Salah, Ollie Watkins, Alexander Isak, Son, Dominic Solanke, and others are following the big Norwegian, but to be honest, apart from Salah and Son, we aren’t that sure about all those “challengers.”

Golden Glove Goes to….

Arsenal’s David Raya is the reigning Golden Glove winner, having 16 clean sheets. He was outstanding; no need to say anything about that, but we do need to stress that Arsenal’s backline looked fantastic throughout the entire year.

Ederson and Allison are behind the Spaniard, with Emiliano Martinez, whose Aston Villa apparently improved its defense this summer. Though, that’s to be seen.

PFA Best Player Between City and Liverpool

The previous six best EPL players were either from City or Liverpool. De Bruyne and Salah twice, plus Van Dijk and Haaland. Is there a player from some other team capable of taking this award?

According to the odds, the top four favorites are City, De Bruyne, Rodri, Foden, and Haaland. That says enough. After that come those from Arsenal, Saka, Rice, Odegaard, etc. A lot depends on who wins the title, though that’s not entirely mandatory in this case.

All in all, we are awaiting a very fierce fight this year because the gap between City and the rest of the competition has narrowed.

Or it maybe didn’t.
