Serie A is soon to begin. Calcio has been impressively interesting in the last few years, and even though Inter won the previous title in commanding style, Serie A was one of the most viewed competitions in the world.
Inter Ahead of the Competition
The Nerazzurri were dominant in the previous year and in the years before, although Napoli won the 2022/23 title. The Milan club won multiple trophies in the past five years, reached two European finals, and looked like the sole constant team in Italy.
This summer, they have landed a few solid acquisitions, the biggest names being Zielinski and Taremi. A couple of veterans left the unit, but all of them have worthy replacements.

Other teams in the mix to chase the title are Juventus (first and foremost), Milan, Napoli, and Roma, which are way behind Atalanta and Roma. The latter two or even three will battle for the top four position.
Serie A Top Four
Juventus and Milan should be here no matter what. The Old Lady didn’t change its roster a lot, and Dusan Vlahovic is still the team leader. The only significant action was letting go of Max Allegri and signing Thiago Motta. We expect Juve to play football much faster and more attractively with him in charge.
AC Milan was solid on its tour through the United States. They strengthened the back line with the fierce Serbian center-back Strahinja Pavlovic, a Partizan youth academy alumni, from which many fantastic players appeared in the last few years, like Vlahovic, Mitrovic, Nikola Milenkovic, etc. On the other side of the field, Alvaro Morata landed, which made their attack even more lethal.
Now, when it comes to Napoli, we don’t share the same enthusiasm as other pundits. First, they aren’t sure about Osimhen’s future. Conte arrived, and we all know about his temperament, while on the other end, Napoli has a very troublesome owner. That’s a potential problem. Zielinski is gone, and Kvaratskhelia wants to leave, too. So there are plenty of unsettled players and possible bombs.
As for Roma, De Rossi handled the situation perfectly when replacing Mourinho. He now has Dovbyk and Soule, with Le Fee and Angelinho, meaning that this team has solid potential and, more importantly, creativity.
Atalanta is always there, and they didn’t change their roster too much, with several players leaving the unit but that won’t be too problematic to cover up.
Will Verona or Udinese go Down?
These two teams struggled to gain consistency throughout the previous year and, by pure luck, stayed in the Serie A. We aren’t afraid to say that. Parma and Venezia came from Serie B, and for the moment, they do look more promising than these two units, as well as Empoli and Cagliari, who will also have a hard time staying in the league.
The Italian championship is always very intense when it comes to relegation battles, particularly due to all the shady “deals” and arrangements, and that’s why betting on this is always risky.
Capocannoniere Goes to…
The transfer window is still active, and plenty of changes could occur here. But right now, Napoli’s Victor Osimhen is the top favorite, slightly ahead of Roma’s Artem Dovbyk. The two robust guys will be the focal point of the respective attacks, and all the actions must go through them. Alvaro Morata might also join the race because he is more or less the sole targetmen in AC Milan.
