The 2024 EURO has started, and we are here to give a brief overview of the tournament, point out some interesting facts, and, of course, remind you that we supply our visitors with the best football odds on the web.

Germany hosts yet another edition of the top European tournament, which includes 24 teams divided into six groups with four teams. Some of them are massive favorites to take the title, others aren’t, while the third is happy just to be here. Over the next few paragraphs, we will make a short analysis and you should take a few minutes of your time to check it out.

France Coming for the Title, England’s Now or Never

The top two favorites to take the title back home are France and England. According to the bookies, the Three Lions have slightly better odds, but that doesn’t mean too much at this level of play. England’s roster is fantastic, with world-class players in every position. However, their weakest link isn’t on the field, but in the managerial spot, where Gareth Southgate sits.

On the other hand, France has Didier Deschamps, a born winner, who has a very cohesive and experienced unit at his disposal. Though, there is a problem – injuries. Even though the leaders of the unit, Griezmann, Mbappe, etc, are present, several very important players who have indispensable roles aren’t in Germany.

Forgotten Portugal and Belgium

Portugal is in the best position. They don’t have injured players, none of their leading stars had an exhausting season, and, on top of everything, there is no pressure like in previous years. The same goes for Belgium, whose “Golden Generation” experienced extreme stress over the years because of the public’s high hopes.

In general, there aren’t too many stories about them in the media, which is perfect for either team. Nobody talks too much about them, thus there isn’t hype nor buzz.

Germany, Spain and Italy – Dangerous, Yet vulnerable

Germans are hosting the tournament, and that’s a big convenience, but also, the pressure is much higher. And Die Mannschaft didn’t respond to the same very well over the last few years. The catastrophic results posted in the previous three years have diminished their reputation, and the giant of world football wants to restore its status.

It’s the same with the reigning European champions, Italy, who did win that trophy yet missed the World Cup afterward. They also weren’t confident at all in other matches, and they, too, had problems with consistency.

Spain is massacred with injuries, as Pedri comes unfit to play, and Gavi misses the championship. The two youngsters are the motor of the team, and without them 100% ready Spain isn’t the powerhouse everyone thinks.

Who to Watch?

Several players are the focus of the public. No.1 is Kylian Mbappe, French superstar who left PSG this summer to sign for Real Madrid. He is one of the most popular footballers in the world, and maybe the biggest in Europe. But even so, he isn’t the most important in France, because that status goes to Antoine Griezmann.

Jude Bellingham proved to be the biggest talent in the world astonishing the world with his performances in Real this year. We won’t talk too much but only say that he emerged as the best player of Los Blancos who once again won the European title. There aren’t any doubts; he has already eclipsed Hary Kane and the rest of his teammates when it comes to global popularity.

We can’t and won’t forget Cristiano Ronaldo. He has a new role in the unit, and isn’t the focal point of the same, but now presents the tip of the spear, with the rest of the unit dictating the pace and the tempo of the game. It’s the same with Kevin de Bruyne, who can’t be missed in this conversation.
