The UEFA Champions League continues already this week, and there is no time for major European clubs to rest too much following a very intense schedule. Only the best of the best will succeed in their intention to win the most prominent club trophy in the world, and the battles have just begun.
We have a few games on our menu for this round, so stay tuned with BetXchange to see our picks and suggestions.
Plzen VS Inter
The Czech champions are ruthless in the domestic league, and they have no worthy rivals there. But in the Champions League, the situation is a bit different, which we saw against Barcelona. Of course, playing at Camp Nou is something very difficult, and we don’t want to use that as an example, yet overall, Plzen can’t be competitive at this level.
Inter comes to the Czech Republic with an imperative to win following a loss at home to Bayern. Before that, they suffered a defeat to Milan in Derby della Madonnina, and a win over Torino this weekend was a breath of fresh air.
This is one of the most important games of the current part of the season for Inter, and they need to win it. They have a better team than the rivals in every aspect of play, therefore, we expect them to triumph.
Pick: Inter to win 9/20 at BetXchange
Bayern Munich VS Barcelona
The absolute derby of the round is at the Allianz Arena in Munich. Bayern meets Barcelona once again, and after last year’s group clashes, we have an opportunity to see these two titans competing.
Bayern is in problem having back-to-back draws at home. The Bundesliga champs are ruthless on the road, yet they aren’t so confident at the Allianz Arena. As usual, Nagelsmann’s unit plays offensive football with lots of goals, and we don’t want to spend time talking about that.
Barcelona has been fantastic since the season started. Their game plan is very good and, for the moment, extremely efficient, with Blaugrana scoring at least two or three goals in practically every game.
Due to these two teams’ offensive-minded philosophies, we suggest betting on over 2.5 goals and both teams netting.
Pick: Over 2.5 goals and BTTS 1/2 at BetXchange
Manchester City VS Borussia Dortmund
The Citizens are in excellent shape, and they’ve caught the perfect rhythm immediately after the start of the year. We are witnessing their exquisite home performances, with 14 goals scored and one allowed in three home appearances. On top of that, we’ve seen the power of their attack in Seville, once Man City packed four goals in the hosts’ net.
Ont the other side, Borussia has at least a dozen players injured before this event and comes off a 3-0 loss in Leipzig. Even though the Millionaires recorded good results over the past few weeks, they didn’t do it because of some excellent play but due to a lucky turn of events.
If City plays with 70% of its capacity, they will roll over the Millionaires and beat them by two or more goal-margin.
Pick: Man City -1.5 2/5 at BetXchange
Liverpool VS Ajax
The Reds are facing certain trouble here, with the defense struggling to deliver decent performances. On the other side, Ajax is smashing all the rivals, and their wins are usually with three, four, or more goals scored. Though, there is a catch here.
The Lancers’ rivals were far weaker than Liverpool’s, and nobody seemed to recognize that. Liverpool may be in problems, but the Reds play a bit different football at home, especially now when they had more than a week to regroup and reorganize.
Liverpool will win this event, don’t doubt that.
Pick: Liverpool 1/2 at BetXchange
