The final Grand Slam event of the tennis season gets underway at Flushing Meadows on Monday, August 26, with the top male and female players in the competition crowned on September 8.
A historic event in New York will boast the biggest purse in tennis history, with each of the winners picking up $3.6 million in prize money. But, who are the stars that could claim Grand Slam glory in the City That Never Sleeps?
Men’s US Open Odds
There will be a familiar feel to the top of the betting for the men’s US Open this year, as the prices are dominated by Carlos Alcaraz. The Spanish superstar is currently the 3/2 chance with BetXchange to win the Slam, while Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic are available at 21/10 and 11/5, respectively.
Other players prominent in the betting include Alexander Zverev at 10/1 and Daniil Medvedev at 23/2.
Men’s US Open Preview
The Men’s US Open has been staged annually in New York since being established in 1881. It is the second of the majors to be played on a hard course surface, with the current terrain being in operation since 1978.
Novak Djokovic has reached the final on five occasions since 2015, famously winning his fourth title in 2023 after beating Daniil Medvedev in straight sets. The Serbian once again has strong claims to successfully defend the title this year, as he comes into the event in excellent form after winning the Olympic gold medal earlier in the summer.
Daniil Medvedev could be an outside chance after reaching the final on three previous occasions, with his only success coming in 2021 against Djokovic.

It hasn’t been the easiest period for Jannik Sinner off the court, but he hasn’t allowed it to disrupt his momentum. The Italian recently won the Cincinnati Masters after beating Francis Tiafoe in the final.
The 23-year-old was dominant on the hard court earlier in the season when winning the Australian Open, and he could be the standout pick to land US Open glory this year.
