The last MotoGP race of the year takes place in Valencia, where the 2025 championship ends. The legendary Circuit Ricardo Tormo will host the MotoGP for the 25th time. This is the place with plenty of memories, and even though everything is pretty much settled in the MotoGP championship, we are sure that the fans can’t wait to see Sunday’s race.

Valencia MotoGP Facts

  • Track length: 4.005 km
  • First race: 1999
  • Most wins: Dani Pedrosa 7 (4 Pedrosa and Lorenzo in MotoGP)
  • Most wins manufacturers: 19 Honda

Since the first Valencia GP took place in 1999, we have witnessed 24 races. Two years ago, the winner was Francesco Bagnaia, who was the best in 2021 too, and in between was Alex Rins.

In 2024, the race was cancelled due to tragic floods in Eastern Spain.

Bezzecchi Takes the Pole, 4 Riders in Half-Tenth of a Second

We observed one particularly interesting qualifier, in which four riders were within a 0.058-second interval. The winner was Aprilia Racing’s Marco Bezzecchi, who managed to edge out the competition. He was 1:28.806, and the fourth Raul Fernandez was 1:28.867. In between, we saw Alex Marquez and Fabio Di Giannantonio.

We must say that Bezzecchi managed to set a new track record, and this was his fifth pole position of the season.

It was one of the closest and most joyful qualifiers of the entire year, as four riders attacked the pole, yet Bezzecchi managed to stay on top of the situation and create a good position ahead of Sunday’s race. He secured third place in the standings following the qualifiers, which will be a big boost for him today.

The biggest enigma remains regarding the 4th place, where Pedro Acosta has 294 points, 6 more than Francesco Bagnaia, who has 288. Di Giannantonio and Franco Morbidelli are 15 points apart in the race for the 6th position.

Marquez Confidently Wins Sprint Race

Alex Marquez won the spring race, beating Pedro Acosta, who was bidding to take the top place and boost his morale ahead of the Valencia GP. It was yet another sprint win for the runner-up in this championship, who was also triumphant last weekend in Portugal.

Acosta gave his best to beat Marquez, but in the end, his KTM couldn’t do much against the BK8 Gresini Ducatti. Fabio Di Giannantonio was third, as he managed to outpace Raul Fernandez in an exciting finish.

Valencia MotoGP Predictions

This will be an interesting race, and we saw that yesterday during the sprint. Bezzecchi wasn’t confident at all, losing the first place pretty quickly and without a fight. There was a lot of talk about the grip here in Valencia, and some participants stated that it had decreased significantly compared to the past. There will be plenty of adjustments here, particularly throughout the race, and that’s something which could disrupt the tactics.

Now, given that the riders were close during the qualifiers, we might just see a race with late charges that include several riders.

What we have to add is that, according to our predictions, Alex Marquez looks like the top candidate for winning. The reason why we favor him is that Pedro Acosta has to have a perfect start and break through several rivals to reach the top. In our eyes, Acosta is the only one who can endanger Marquez, but only if he gets out of the crowd.

That’s why our pick here would be Alex Marquez to triumph in Valencia.
