The DP World Tour (European Tour) is headed to Qatar this weekend for the Qatar Masters in Doha. This event, founded in 1998 as one of the first European Tour events held on the Arabian Peninsula, has grown into a significant tournament after originally attracting only modest fields.
The Qatar Masters will be played over 72 holes in a traditional individual stroke play format. The prize fund is $2.75 milliion, with the winner picking up $467,500.
Event Information
This event has been held at Doha Golf Club almost every year since the tournament’s inauguration in 1998. The only two years in which the Qatar Master was held elsewhere were 2020 and 2021, when the tournament took place at Education City in Saudi Arabia.
Doha Golf Club is set at a 7,374-yard, par-72 course.
2026 Qatar Masters Odds
2026 Qatar Masters odds to win with BetXchange:
- Jayden Trey Schaper – 11/1
- Patrick Reed – 23/2
- Daniel Hillier – 12/1
- Angel Ayora – 29/2
- Matt Wallace – 21/1
- Jasper Svensson – 24/1
Favorite Jayden Schaper has already won twice on tour this year and is top of the season standings.
Daniel Hillier should be considered a potential winner given his recent consistency. He has finished in the Top-6 five times in the last seven DP World Tour events, including finishing in second place at the Dubai Invitational.
2026 Qatar Masters Leading Contenders
Patrick Reed is on the European Tour after failing to come to terms with a contract extension with LIV Golf, and he is playing angrily. He won the Dubai Desert Classic two weeks ago, then finished third of three in a playoff last weekend in Bahrain. That kind of form, plus Reed’s pedigree and experience in big moments, makes him a firm favorite going into the Qatar Masters.
There will not be a back-to-back winner in Doha as 2025 Qatar Masters champion Li Haofong is playing on the US PGA Tour this season. There are eight previous winners of the event in the field, with 2024 champion Rikuya Hoshino the most recent returning champion. He is 78/1 to repeat his victory of two years ago.
While he is far from a leading contender at 474/1 to win the event, the 2026 Qatar Masters is a big event for Irishman Padraig Harrington. This is the 500th event for the three-time Major winner, something that has only been done 49 times before. He is 12/1 for a Top-20 finish.
2026 Qatar Masters Prediction
Schaper has been outstanding this season, but Reed is bringing significant momentum from the last two events on the tour. His game also suits this course, one where making up strokes from the tee box to the green is vitally important.
Pick: Patrick Reed at 23/2
Longshot Pick: Andrea Pavan at 51/1
Andrea Pavan is 50/1 to win outright, but he has been solid over the last couple of weeks. He finished T14 and T9 in Dubai and Bahrain, but it is his stretch of seven rounds under par in eight that makes me look twice. A little more luck when playing that well,l and Pavan can be in the mix. He is 29/5 to finish in the top-10, which is my favorite bet of the entire event.
