AFCON quarter-finals are set and start this Friday. Eight teams are left to battle for the crown, and we have spectacles ahead of us. Each game will be fiery and harsh, but even so, there’s plenty of betting possibilities for us bettors.

Mali VS Senegal
Mali is an underdog against Senegal, yet this team won’t back down, that’s for sure. They eliminated Tunis in the previous round, which was a huge sensation, and with that momentum, they come into this event. This team ended the group stage with three ties, and then beat Tunis following penalties. As you can see, all of their matches were with under 2.5 goals.
Senegal has three wins and a tie, looking great and netting three goals in each of the triumphs. This team has an excellent midfield paired up with the offense led by Sadio Mane, and it’s no wonder to see them providing efficient games like these.

Our pick here would be Senegal to win, though, probably not as confidently as in the previous games. For those who want to increase the odds and take a bit of risk, the halftime/fulltime result, draw/Senegal, is a perfect pick.
Cameroon VS Morocco
The absolute derby of the round is the game between Cameroon and the hosts, Morocco. The home unit has a rock-solid defense, allowing just one goal in this tournament and looking very sharp in the back. Their goal difference in the tournament is 7-1 with three wins and a tie against Mali in the group stage.
Cameroon is solid, and they too have the same record, only their defense provided just one clean sheet in this tournament. Indomitable Lions play physical football, with plenty of duels and a tough battle in the middle.
Brahim Diaz, the top scorer in this tournament, will be the key for the hosts, and we believe he and El Kaabi will break the Cameroonian defense. So our pick here would be Morocco to win.
Algeria VS Nigeria
To be honest, this game has the potential to go either way. Both teams have the same ambition: the semis, and even though Nigeria has slightly better odds of reaching them, we believe this matchup is 50-50.
Algeria has nothing but wins, cruising past the group stage with a 7-1 goal difference and 9 points, though it had some problems in the previous knockout round. After a goalless 90 minutes against DR Congo, they secured the next stage with Boulbina’s 119th-minute goal.
As for Nigeria, Ademola Lookman is fantastic, with 3 goals and 4 assists so far, and is the favorite to be the best player at the end of the tournament. Nigeria has all four wins, scoring 12 goals, and each of their events has had at least three goals. Only one hasn’t seen four as a matter of fact.
Both teams play more or less an open and offensive-minded game; therefore, our pick for this contest is to see at least three hits.
Egypt VS Ivory Coast
Both of these teams have had three wins and one tie so far. Though, Egypt drew 1-1 in the AFCON Round of 16 against Benin before beating them in extra time. The Pharaohs’ previous three events have ended with under 2.5 goals, keeping two clean sheets.

As for the Ivory Coast, they had a much easier task in the Round of 16, trashing Burkina Faso 3-0, dominating throughout the entire event. Their offense was excellent against Gabon, too, winning 3-2, and the Elephants have shown excellent form.
Egypt isn’t as strong as it was, and our pick for this game is the Ivory Coast to advance to the next stage. So not betting on their win, but their advance to the semifinals.
