The Soweto derby takes centre stage this weekend when Kaizer Chiefs host traditional rivals Orlando Pirates at an empty FNB Stadium on Saturday.

Very little separate the two teams on the log standings with the Buccaneers sitting sixth spot with fourteen points and AmaKhosi breathing down their neck on seventh spot having accumulated twelve points.

The notable match of the weekend sees logleaders Mamelodi Sundowns and bottom of the standings Marumo Gallants lock horns in this match where the Brazilians are overwhelming favourites.

The Brazilians will be looking to stretch their highly impressive run of matches without conceding a goal to 12 while at the same time increasing their winning streak in the league to seven matches.

SuperSport United VS TS Galaxy

After a solid start to the campaign where they were as up as second after a few rounds, SuperSport United have gone off the boil with two successive defeats to Kaizer Chiefs and Royal AM.

They are up against a fired up TS Galaxy side who registered their first win of the season with a hard fought win over Baroka during the week and their German Sead Ramović will be out for another victory.

Akead of this Soweto derby, Kaizer Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter has confirmed that influential Bafana Bafana left-back Sifiso Hlanti looks set to miss the rest of the season after suffering a freak injury at training.

On the other hand, Orlando Pirates also have their injury problems with the likes of Richard Ofori, Wayne Sandilands, Innocent Maela, Happy Jele, Zakhele Lepasa and Thembinkosi Lorch still in the treatment room.

Stellenbosch VS Golden Arrows

Stellenbosch are without doubt the surprise package of this season so far as a result of their blistering start to the campaign where they have pulled off five wins and four draws to stay second on the standings.

They are up against unpredictable and inconsistent Arrows who will be looking for all the three points to move a few places up on the ladder and at the same time hand them their first loss of the season.

Chippa United VS Maritzburg United

Five games without a win has put the job of coach Gavin Hunt under tremendous pressure going into this clash and another defeat against Maritzburg United will leave him closer to the exit door.

On the other hand, things are also not easy for Maritzburg United and their coach Ernst Middendorp who lost their last match against Mamelodi Sundowns during the week despite a spirited fight.

Royal AM VS Baroka

One of the form teams in the league at the moment is Royal AM who are on a red hot streak of seven matches without a loss where they have pulled off five wins and two draws.

Their mission of continuing to get favourable results that will keep them at the top half of the table is not going to be an easy one as they are up against a wounded Baroka who were the first team to lose to TS Galaxy this season.

Pick: Royal AM Wins by 1.11 at BetXChange

Swallows VS Sekhukhune United

Unlike last season where they started the season with frightening pace, Swallows are stuttering out of the blocks with only one win from their opening nine matches, a run that has left them at the bottom half of the table.

In Sekhukhune United, they are up against an unpredictable and wounded team that gave Orlando Pirates a scare this week by taking the lead at Orlando Stadium before they went down 2-1.

Pick: Swallows Wins by 0.90 at BetXChange

Marumo Gallants VS Mamelodi Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns are overwhelming favourites to pile more misery on bottom of the log side Marumo Gallants who remains the only club in the league yet to register a victory so far this season.

Sundowns go into this match on the back of a six wins in a row and a run of eleven matches without having conceded a goal in the league.

Pick: Sundowns Wins by 0.77 at BetXChange

AmaZulu VS Cape Town City

AmaZulu were one of the best teams of last season but they have struggled to get their campaign going this time around.

They go into this match on the back of a defeat and loss to Sekhukhune United and Marumo Gallants and AmaZulu coach Benni MCarthy and his men will be desperate for a win that will move them a few places on the ladder.

Pick: AmaZulu Wins by 1.45 at BetXChange
