EFC 76 Preview and Betting odds

Penco vs Wojcik

Fighting out of Rendoki Dojo, Italy, Chiara Penco takes on Polish star Karolina Wojcik. Prenco is unbeaten in her professional MMA career with 4 wins, all by submission. She beat Danella Eliasov at EFC 67 to claim the EFC Womens Straw-weight title and now returns to defend her title. Karolina “Polish Assassin”  Wojcik took the fight at two weeks notice when original contender Cheyanne Vlismas had to withdraw for medical reasons. Wojcik has just one loss in her young MMA career which came at EFC 74 via split decision. Her striking ability is impressive and 2 of her wins have come via TKOs.

Prediction: Its hard to look past Penco in this match up – Penco has an excellent Jiu-Jutsu background and is lethal on the ground with all of her pro wins coming via submissions. Wojcik will need to rely on her takedown defense and use her powerful striking if she is to become straw-weight queen of the EFC.

Current EFC Betting odds: Penco (15/10) vs Wojcik (5/10)

Ruan Potts vs Jared Vanderaa

Verteran EFC fighter Ruan Potts takes on American Jared Vanderaa with the winner potentially getting a shot at the heavy weight crown. Potts has been in the EFC since 2011 and has an 11 – 6 – 0 record, with a current winning streak of 3 in a row. Potts is highly experienced and has an all round calculated approach, but his biggest strength is his high level Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with 6 of his 11 wins coming via submission.

Vanderaa is only 25 and has a record of 7 – 3 – 0 in his professional MMA career. He has fought twice in the EFC losing a title fight to Andrew Van Zyl at EFC 66 before beating Elvis Moyo at EFC 73. He has a kickboxing background with powerful striking ability resulting in 4 of his wins coming via TKO/KOs.

Prediction: Potts is on a hot streak and will have the home crowd behind him. If Potts can weather the storm early on and take the fight past the first round then his experience and strong submission game will have Vanderaa in trouble. Vanderaa will be looking to use his KO power to put Potts on the canvas. It will be close but Vanderaa should take this.

Current EFC Betting odds: Potts(16/10) vs Vanderaa (4/10)
