The North London Derby is one of the most intense in England. Sure, it’s not as popular as some others in the EPL, but that can’t dispute its energy. Arsenal leads the standings, while on the other hand, Tottenham is behind by 8 points, fighting for the place that leads to the Champions League.
We can’t wait to see the atmosphere at the Emirates, because everyone knows that the fans dislike each other, and that such an animosity is rare in England.
The home team is the favorite, but Tottenham has its chances because Spurs often play superbly in big games, winning them despite being underdogs.
Stay tuned for EPL odds and previews.
Arsenal VS Tottenham Preview
Arsenal
The Gunners are the top favorites to win the title this year. We’ve seen excellent football from their side so far, and even though Arteta’s boys failed to win in the previous event, the current quality of their performances is very high.
Arsenal drew 2-2 with Sunderland, but before that, they had won 10 straight without conceding a single goal. We include all the games, EPL, UCL, and others. So 10 consecutive clean sheets is more than impressive, and it perfectly displays the power of the London team.

This broke the previous English record; therefore, it’s perfectly normal to consider Arsenal as the best team in the country right now. The unit looks strong on both ends of the field, very rational and calm. Chemistry is very healthy with the players working as one, without spending too much energy.
Tottenham
As usual, the Spurs oscillate way too much, which is why this unit sits 5th. Even though that’s a high placement in the EPL standings, the reality is different. Ahead of this round, they had only one point more than the 10th-placed team. So, all in all, Tottenham is realistically closer to the relegation zone than Arsenal.
The unit has one massive weakness: its defense, one of the worst in the league in terms of oscillations. Upon looking at the standings, one might see that the average conceded goals per game is under 1.
It's been 15 years since Tottenham last won a Premier League game at the Emirates Stadium 😮❌

Only once in the previous 6 meetings have we seen Frank’s crew keep a clean sheet. For a team that aims to play in the Champions League next year, that’s unacceptable. Overall, the attack plays well, but the defense has consistently underperformed, and so far Frank hasn’t found a way to fix it.
Arsenal VS Tottenham Head to Head
Overall, Arsenal has 89 wins, Tottenham 67, and there were 55 ties. They’ve met once this season, during the summer, in a friendly event when Tot’ham won 1-0. Last year, Arsenal came out triumphant on both occasions, 0-1 at the Tottenham Stadium and 2-1 at home.
Arsenal VS Tottenham Predictions
The Gunners have been pretty confident so far, and their perfectly balanced unit usually slowly outpowers the rivals before inflicting the deadly blow. Tottenham has fast players, who are excellent in transition, and they might score here, but on the other hand, we have an impression that no matter how many goals Spurs’ offense provides, the defense will concede at least one more.
Here, Arsenal’s defense is one of the best in Europe, and its attack is very efficient. Tottenham has a poor defense and a talented yet unstable attack, which isn’t enough to beat the Gunners at the Emirates. So for this event, we pick Arsenal’s triumph.
We also want to say to keep an eye on the cards. Both teams play aggressive football, and sometimes they are more physical than needed. When adding the importance of a win due to a rivalry, the chances of seeing an above-average number of cards are pretty high.
- Pick: Arsenal
