The North London Derby is one of the most intense in England. Sure, it’s not as popular as some others in the EPL, but that can’t dispute its energy. Arsenal leads the standings, while on the other hand, Tottenham is behind by 8 points, fighting for the place that leads to the Champions League.

Tottenham

As usual, the Spurs oscillate way too much, which is why this unit sits 5th. Even though that’s a high placement in the EPL standings, the reality is different. Ahead of this round, they had only one point more than the 10th-placed team. So, all in all, Tottenham is realistically closer to the relegation zone than Arsenal.

The unit has one massive weakness: its defense, one of the worst in the league in terms of oscillations. Upon looking at the standings, one might see that the average conceded goals per game is under 1.

Only once in the previous 6 meetings have we seen Frank’s crew keep a clean sheet. For a team that aims to play in the Champions League next year, that’s unacceptable. Overall, the attack plays well, but the defense has consistently underperformed, and so far Frank hasn’t found a way to fix it.

The Gunners have been pretty confident so far, and their perfectly balanced unit usually slowly outpowers the rivals before inflicting the deadly blow. Tottenham has fast players, who are excellent in transition, and they might score here, but on the other hand, we have an impression that no matter how many goals Spurs’ offense provides, the defense will concede at least one more.
