There isn’t too much room for error for City, which has 7 points fewer than Arsenal and needs to win in London. However, we have to say that Tottenham finds itself in an equally tough situation, and that the Spurs can’t afford to waste points anymore at the moment. Yesterday, we saw Arsenal win, which puts pressure on the Citizens. Plus, knowing that Tottenham isn’t a suitable rival for the team from Etihad, all this makes their fans pretty nervous.

Tottenham VS Manchester City Preview
Spurs did at least get a small lift in midweek, as Thomas Frank saw his side claim a much-needed Champions League win over Eintracht Frankfurt, 0-2. That result eased the pressure on the team, but the Premier League form remains a major concern for the manager, with Tottenham now winless in their last five Premier League matches.
Another good thing is that the defense finally decided to show up, posting two clean sheets in the past three events, though both in the Champions League. Also, the offense has delivered two hits in the last three games.

But overall, Tottenham’s position in the standings is pretty disturbing, knowing their quality, and they are sitting 14th right now, with 8 points more than West Ham, who is under the relegation line.
Manchester City lost three of the past four games against Tottenham, and that deeply concerns the Citizens’ fans. They know that this event might be the turning point of the season, and those three points here are an absolute must.

That said, there are still areas for Pep Guardiola to address. City have been allowing more shots than usual this season, and their away form has declined compared to previous campaigns. Since the start of last term, they’ve averaged just above one and a half points per game on the road, and that’s way weaker than in the past. Guardiola has to improve this if he wants to keep the pressure on Arsenal in the title race.
The good thing is that Citizens have back-to-back wins, both with the same result, 2-0, with Haaland finally finding the back of the net on Wednesday against Galatasaray, snapping his draught.
Tottenham VS Manchester City Head to Head
As stated, Tottenham won three of the past 4 meetings against Man City. Regarding this year’s contest, it was in August when Tottenham took all three points at the Etihad, winning 0-2. It was the fourth time in the last 5 games that just one side netted.
The finish of the opening half was lethal for Man City, as Johnson and Palhinha scored to shock the Citizens and eventually close the game with a calm approach in the second 45 minutes.
Tottenham VS Manchester City Predictions
Spurs have no other option but to go for all three points, and neither does City. Both teams will have to be a bit more open and aggressive than expected; therefore, our pick here would be Over 2.5 goals. We really expect to see plenty of chances and scores in this event.
- Pick: Over 2.5 goals
