Matchday 8 at EURO 2020 has three extremely interesting matchups. Two of them are from Group D, and one from Group E. BetXChange is here to make a short preview of all three.

Sweden vs. Slovakia

The Swedes were stubborn against Spain and eventually managed to fight out a draw and one very valuable point. This is something nobody could predict. Their goalkeeper Robin Olsen was magnificent, stopping the Red Fury’s attacks and attempts, providing several spectacular saves during 96 minutes of play on Monday night. What is more important is that Blagult now has everything in its hands and isn’t dependent on other results.

On the other side, Slovakia also surprised, defeating Poland, who was a heavy favorite coming into their contest. We need to add that the Slovaks beat them fair and square, managing to overcome multiple challenges during the match. They are an extremely hard-working side without any superstars.

These two teams play defensive-minded football, and that was something obvious when looking at their recent matches. It is why we predict low efficiency on Friday, under 2.5 goals.

Pick: Under 2.5 goals 0.55 at BetXChange

Croatia vs. Czech Republic

The Croats are in a tough position following an opening loss against England. It is not only because they have no points, but because this team didn’t show anything good against the Three Lions. Croatia was pale, without any creativity upfront, and with lots of problems in the backline. It is now definitely obvious that this team isn’t in the elite echelon or world and European football anymore.

Patrick Schick was in the center of all the media on Monday. His second goal of the game was arguably one of the best in European championships, and without any doubt, the best at this particular edition. His Czech Republic won, putting themselves in an excellent situation. All they need to do is to stay unbeaten in this event, and pretty much the knockout stage will be in their reach.

Croatia doesn’t have the firepower for scoring too many goals, while the Czechs won’t be eager to play open. All this suggests another inefficient match, with under 2.5 scores.

Pick: Under 2.5 goals 0.65 at BetXChange

England vs. Scotland

The delight of the day. The battle of two old rivals, who have a massive role in the history of this sport. Plus, we won’t even say the magnitude of their hatred here.

England didn’t amaze against Croatia in the opener, but they got three points. All in all, they did the job correctly, without losing too much energy. A 1-0 victory was their sixth in a row, and five of them came without conceding, proving that England has one of the best defenses in the world.

Scotland disappointed in their premiere at EURO 2020. Losing 0-2 against the Czech Republic wasn’t that bad as their poor performance. We haven’t seen anything worthy of mentioning from this team, and all of their players looked pretty lost on the pitch on Monday. On top of everything, Schick’s stunner sealed their awful performance.

There is only one logical solution for betting in this case, and that is investing the money on England’s win. The profit is not that high, but it is pretty much safe. Albion won’t miss a chance to lock the advance to the next stage and hurt their old foe.

Pick: England to win 0.30 at BetXChange
