The IPL keeps on rolling with at least one – and often two – games in a day. Here is a look at some of this week’s games with odds from BetXchange.

Rajasthan Royals VS Lucknow Super Giants – Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur

When: Wednesday, April 19

This one should be good, as it is a top-of-the-log clash that sees the Rajasthan Royals take on the Lucknow Super Giants in Jaipur. The Royals have lost just once all season and have eight points thanks to their four wins from five games. The Super Giants are part of a logjam on six points, but they sit second overall thanks to their impressive Net Run Rate.

A win for the home side would start to create separation at the top, while the Super Giants would bring the Royals back to the pack with a victory away from home.

When looking at potential winners in the batting market, it is hard to ignore the form of Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal opening for the Royals. The paid put up 11.20 runs per over when together, comfortably the quickest scoring amongst openers in the entire IPL. Buttler is 21/10 to be the top batsman, while Jaiswal is 4/1. Don’t get cute and look past these two, as one of them will win this market.

Trent Boult at 22/10 is a nice price to be the top home bowler, while Nicholas Pooran is an intriguing shot in the dark as the top away batsman at 11/2. He sometimes comes in too late at No. 5, but his insane strike rate of 216.92 shows how impressive he is at closing out matches.

Punjab Kings VS Royal Challengers Bangalore – Inderjit Singh Bindra Stadium, Mohali

When: Thursday, April 20

This one sees the Punjab Kings and their six points from five matches defending home territory against Royal Challenges Bangalore, a team with two wins and three defeats so far in 2023.

It is worth noting that Shikar Dhawan is likely to miss this one for Punjab as he works on recovering from a shoulder injury, but the team will be boosted by English batsman Liam Livingstone, a player set to make his first appearance of the season.

Livingstone is 15/4 (and second favorite) to step right in and lead the team in batting, a mark that would make him favorite if Dhawan doesn’t play. With doubts about both favorites, how about looking at Bhanuka Rajapaksa at 4/1 in this market?

Another Kings player to look at is Sam Curran, who is 8/1 to be Man of the Match. If you think the Kings will win, then Curran is a great shout here as he can do damage with both the bat and the ball.

Delhi Capitals VS Kolkata Knight Riders – Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi

When: Thursday, April 20

The Capitals have been both unlucky and bad in 2023. They are winless – with five defeats from five matches – and they now get to host a Knight Riders team that also has a losing record with two wins to three defeats on the year.

David Warner is (as expected) the man most likely for the Capitals with the bat. He is 22/10, comfortably the favorite ahead of Rilee Rossouw and Mitchell Marsh (both at 7/2.) Warner is the pick here, as when he gets hot – which he is due for – he can pick apart bowling at will.
