Tournament Preview

The RBC Heritage is once again on the agenda in 2022, in its customary place on the PGA Tour calendar – the week after the Masters at Augusta. Jon Rahm was the man who took the green jacket home from Magnolia Lane and plenty of the biggest names in the game will be looking to bounce back from chastening weeks at Augusta. The RBC Heritage has been played on the tour for over 50 years and plenty of big names including Stuart Cink, Nick Price and Davis Love III have tasted glory at Hilton Head. With $20 million in the prize pot too, the stakes could not be higher in South Carolina this week.

Betting Preview

Outright Winner

Plenty of the biggest names on the PGA Tour feature here in South Carolina and they will be keen to get their hands on some silverware here:-

Scottie Scheffler – 17/2

World number one Scottie Scheffler struggled for rhythm at the Masters last week, but he remains a classy operator and he will be the man to beat here.

Jon Rahm – 9/1

Backing up a Masters win is never an easy thing to do but Jon Rahm will be looking to do that at the RBC Heritage this week, as he builds on his ever improving form.

Jordan Spieth – 20/1

It was an excellent week for Jordan Spieth who finished in the top 5 at the Masters last weekend and he will be doing all he can to build upon that showing here at the RBC Heritage.

Collin Morikawa – 20/1

Collin Morikawa strung enough good golf together at Augusta to be in the mix for most of the week and he hoping to use that as a spring board here at the RBC Heritage this week.

Viktor Hovland – 28/1

Norwegian Viktor Hovland played solid golf throughout at Augusta, clinching a top 10 finish and how he would love to take that form with him to South Carolina this weekend.

Justin Thomas – 30/1

Justin Thomas was battling away at Augusta last weekend without too much success and a change of surrounds should do him good here in South Carolina.

1st Round Leader

The RBC Heritage golf never fails to provide drama and this year promises to be no different.
Here are three punts at 1st round leader after Thursday’s action:-

Tony Finau – 33/1

American Tony Finau was comfortably past the cut line at Augusta last weekend and finding some form here could see him get off to a fast one.

Sam Burns – 50/1

2023 has been a year to remember for Sam Burns so far and he could be featuring at the top of the leader board from the off at the RBC Heritage this week.

Top 5 Finish

With so many quality players assembled here in South Carolina, getting into the winning enclosure could be tough but there are plenty of candidates to be in the mix come Sunday afternoon:-

Tyrrell Hatton – 8/1

Fiery Englishman Tyrrell Hatton wasn’t in the mix at Augusta, but he is more than capable of mixing it with the big boys in this field.

Tom Kim – 9/1

Tom Kim picked up a top 25 finish at the Masters last time out and he seems to always be there or thereabouts in PGA Tour events.

Tommy Fleetwood – 12/1

Englishman Tommy Fleetwood hasn’t been at the very top of his game so far this year but there were glimpses of his best golf at Augusta last week and conditions here should suit.
