Saturday sees us reach Match 15 of the 2026 SA20 competition. Match 15 has the Joburg Super Kings traveling to Cape Town to face MI Cape Town.
Here is a look ahead at the contest.

MI Cape Town VS Joburg Super Kings Date: Tuesday, January 6
MI Cape Town VS Joburg Super Kings Odds:
History
MI Cape Town have had a miserable season to date. They are at the bottom of the log with just two points from their five games to date. They are the only team in the comp without a win, andthe two points they have on the season came from a rainout in Match 4 against Durban’s Super Giants.
The Joburg Super Kings sit in second place, with three wins from four and one bonus point for a run-rate difference of over 1.25 against one of their opponents.
They have 15 points, just two behind Sunrisers Eastern Cape. This is their game in hand against the Sunrisers, and the Super Kings are still undefeated, with their only non-win being a match abandoned with no cricket played due to rain.
MI Cape Town
Ryan Rickelton has been the one guiding light for MI Cape Town. He has scored 199 runs in the comp this season, so it is no shock that he is the favourite to be the top batsman in the match at 21/5 with BetXchange.
Their top bowler has been Trent Boult, with four wickets, but too many of their top-end players have not performed. This was a real issue in their last match, when they were bowled out for just 88 against the Paarl Royals.
While the top order couldn’t set a platform, it was the back end of the batting that completely collapsed. If MI Cape Town is to get their first win of the season, then they will need the likes of Reeza Hendricks and Nicholas Pooran to step up.
Joburg Super Kings
Before their cancelled match against the Sunrisers, the Super Kings won a Super Over classic against Durban’s Super Giants.
The batting was on point in that one. They posted 205 for four, with contributions coming from all over the lineup. Matthew de Villiers and Faf du Plessis were solid, while the middle order came in and upped the run rate. It was the ideal way to play a T20.
Best Bets
Rashid Kahn is one to watch in this one. The MI Cape Town captain has been way off it in 2026. He has just three wickets so far in the comp, with a strike rate of one every 32 balls.
Even so, Khan is interesting at 19/5 to be the top bowler. His form is temporary, but his class is permanent. I wouldn’t be against taking a punt on thisone.
Another interesting option for a prop is Rilee Russouw as the top batsman. He has 91 runs in three games, with one of those being an unlucky duck. If he can get started early, then he has a chance to post a big score.
The Super Kings would be my pick to win the match at 11/10.
