Joburg Super Kings VS MI Cape Town Odds:
History
Saturday’s results tightened the 2026 SA20 log and made it more interesting. The Pretoria Capitals surprisingly beat the Paarl Royals in Match 19, before MI Cape Town turned over the Joburg Super Kings on the back of a monster batting performance from Ryan Rickleton.
Those results mean that this match is now the top team on the log, taking on the bottom squad. With the Pretoria Capitals and MICT both having won two in a row, Durban’s Super Giants have slipped to the bottom spot.
The Super Giants have just one win this season, but their year has been one of weather frustrations. They have had three of their seven matches abandoned due to bad weather, meaning they can never even attempt to get a strong run going. They have ten points and sit five points behind the Royals, who are in the final playoff spot.
The Super Kings’ form has been falling apart, creating a huge opportunity for Sunrisers. They have played one less game than any team other than Paarl, have by far the best NNR in the comp, and are two points clear of the pack. If they can win on Sunday, then they will take a massive step towards locking up the No. 1 seed for the playoffs.
Sunrisers Eastern Cape
This is the reverse fixture of a match that was abandoned before the toss was even made at Kingsmead on Friday.
The Eastern Cape will again look to the batting dominance of Jonny Bairstow and Quinton de Kock, but this is a lineup that has power all over it. Matthre Breetzke has been important with his ability to hit boundaries late in matches, while Jordan Hermann has been a solid hand.
The pace duo of Anrich Nortje and Adam Milne will look to disrupt the Durban batting lineup from the very first over.
Durban’s Super Giants
The Super Giants are at the point where they need to win out to secure a playoff spot. Jos Buttler will need to score well. The Englishman has 144 runs on the season, the most of any player on the squad. This number isn’t as impressive as those from other teams because so many of the Super Giants’ games have been called off.
Audeb Markram and Evan Jones have been useful with the bat too, with Jones striking at a rate of just under 179 while averaging 30.33 per innings.
Best Bets
Sunrisers own this series. They have won all four previous meetings, with the recent abandonment being the only points that the Super GIants have ever picked up against the Eastern Cape side. That dominance will continue, but don’t be afraid to back Buttler at 41/10 to be the top bat in a losing effort.
