Venue: TPC Twin Cities, Minnesota
Dates: Thursday 23rd – Sunday 26th July 2020
Tournament Preview
Following the change at the top of the world rankings with Jon Rahm winning at the Memorial last week, it promises to be another fascinating week in Minnesota. 3M have held an event on the PGA Tour since 1993 and the 3M Open is the most recent version of the event – having launched in 2019. With the COVID 19 pandemic taking hold on the PGA Tour, most of the big names are picking and choosing their events on the schedule but there is an impressive field assembled here at the TPC Twin Cities course. $6.4 million constitutes the impressive prize pot at the 3M Open this year and the field will be vying to take the title from defending champion Matthew Wolff.

Outright Winner
Most of the major players on the PGA Tour look to be finding their rhythm, which should set up an excellent week of golf here in Minnesota:
Dustin Johnson picked up an impressive win at the Travelers Championship last month, for his first victory of the calendar year and he’ll be keen to forget his poor showing at the Memorial last week.
Former world number one Brooks Koepka has been enduring a relatively poor run by his own extremely high standards and he will be raring to go again here.
Englishman Tommy Fleetwood has been knocking on the door at many of the big events on the PGA Tour and he will be relishing the chance to get back out there and showcase his talents once more.
Despite dropping out of contention last week at the Memorial, Tony Finau had a very impressive week and could build upon that once again here.
At the age of 21, Matthew Wolff looks to have a bright future ahead of him in the game and as the defending champion he will be looking forward to this week in Minnesota.
1st Round Leader
With players still trying to find momentum within their respective seasons, getting off to a fast start could be hugely important here in Minnesota:
Former European Ryder Cup player Paul Casey hasn’t shown any real form since the return to action, but he is a quality performer and will enjoy the conditions here in Minnesota.
Two-time Masters winner Bubba Watson is always in contention when he drives well and despite no real form to speak of, he could get off to a flyer here.
Following his surge into the top 10 last week at the Memorial, American Luke List looks to be in excellent form, and he could be one to watch from the off here.
Top 10 Finish
With so many good players assembled here in Minnesota, getting into the winning enclosure could be tough but there are plenty of candidates to finish in the top 10 come Sunday:
American Lukas Glover hasn’t missed a cut since the season restart, and he could be in contention in Minnesota come Sunday afternoon.
With back to back top 20’s in his last two events, Harris English is a man in real form, and he looks in a great position to test the top 10 here in Minnesota.
Big-hitting Ryan Moore is always in contention and in the absence of some of the biggest names in the game, he could be a good shout to sneak into the top 10.
