The rematches of the UEFA Champions League semis are this Tuesday and Wednesday. The first game is in Milan between Inter and AC Milan, with the hosts having a 2-0 lead from the first meeting. Manchester City and Real Madrid feature in the second clash, set for Wednesday, and things are much more interesting here because of a draw in Madrid, 1-1.

Inter Milan VS AC Milan

Inter is doing well right now, and Nerazzurri play their best football so far this year. The reason for that is a re-rejuvenated offense, with Lukaku and the boys smashing every back line that stands in their way. If Inter played like this early on and throughout the middle part of the campaign, they would be much closer to Napoli in the standings, maybe even ahead of them.

Nerazzurri won the past seven events, scoring two or more goals in all but one meeting during that streak. We’ve seen them defeating Juventus, Lazio, Roma, Milan, all the top teams in Serie A.

Milan, on the other hand, lost its pace when it mattered the most. That’s because of various injuries this team suffered and also due to inexperience. Stefano Pioli’s crew has very talented but young players who didn’t have a chance to play high-intensity football in several competitions.

One triumph in the past five events is a clear indicator of a drop in form, and back-to-back losses which came over the past seven days, against Inter and Spezia, most definitely hurt the morale of this crew. Rafael Leao is still questionable for this event, but even with him in the lineup, things aren’t that bright for Rossoneri.

Inter will do anything to kill the tempo of this event, and that’s why we predict low efficiency here. Under 2.5 goals looks like the perfect pick for this case.

Manchester City VS Real Madrid

The Citizens and the Los Blancos had an interesting battle in Madrid, which ended with one goal on each side. To be honest, the visitors were better, but they couldn’t convert their initiative into goals.

Man City played against Everton this weekend, beating the Toffees on the road 0-3. Gudogan scored a brace, and the German midfielder sharply increased his form over the recent few weeks. Over the previous 10 games, Guardiola’s unit won eight and had two draws. They were confident in pretty much all the events during this span.

This unit has 15 consecutive victories across all the competitions at home, and in a vast majority, they’ve netted at least two goals, often three or more. With Haaland upfront, that’s easy; you have to admit it.

Real defeated Getafe 1-0 on Saturday night, but the cost might be high with Eduardo Camavinga leaving the pitch due to a knee injury. The French midfielder is one of the key players in Real, and his contribution is immeasurable. There are signs that he might be ready to start in Manchester, but whether he remains 100% fit is questionable.

Los Blancos didn’t perform well on the road during their two recent trips outside Madrid. After losing to Girona, 4-2, Real Sociedad easily swept them in San Sebastian, 2-0. Those matches meant nothing for Ancelotti’s crew, but still, they played with the strongest lineups and did nothing.

We respect Real Madrid a lot, but in this case, the only logical solution would be to bet on the Citizens to win. The Madridians had plenty of luck in their previous matchups, and that has to stop at some point. Also, City’s form at home is unreal, while Real showed weakness on the road.
