The Monaco Grand Prix is the most prestigious race in the F1 calendar, and as such, it is massively significant. All the drivers have extra motive to present themselves well in one of the most luxurious places in the world.
McLaren will have a nice chance to grab two podium places, but Ferrari is also there, with the Prancing Horse’s drivers occupying places in the top two grids. Max Verstappen is highly motivated to keep his positive streak alive, and we are sure that the champion, too, will have something to say at the Mediterranean shore.
Monaco F1 Grand Prix
Lando Norris has the fastest car in the F1 this year, and the four fastest laps are clear proof of that. However, with just one win, it’s obvious that the Brit fails to convert that speed to win and that there are plenty of flaws in his drive and the consistency of his vehicle. Monte Carlo will be a true test for Norris. He will show whether he can endure tough configuration and pressure from behind as well as the crowd, which will be massive, that’s for sure.

The second is Charles Leclerc, the host in this city. Ferrari’s star is performing far below expectations (though we never saw him as a true star but more as a marketing, so this isn’t a surprise for us), and a good result here would boost his morale and possibly create momentum for him and his team. Leclerc won last year, and that encourages him, yet now, he looks completely deflated and helpless.
Oscar Piastri, the championship leader, is third. He allowed Max Verstappen to take him out at the start last weekend in Imola, and that cost him dearly. He eventually ended third and snapped his three-race winning streak. This will also be a test for him: how he endures pressure and whether he is able to get back on the winning track.
Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen are fourth and fifth, and to be honest, these two guys have excellent chances to reach the podium. They are experienced enough to adapt and overcome any adversities Monaco always carries, and it was very pleasant to see Lewis fourth. Max’s qualifiers weren’t great, but he has the pace to make trouble for all ahead of him and eventually attacks the top spot.
The only difference here is that Ferrari isn’t as constant as Red Bull, and that’s Max’s top edge.
Monaco F1 History
Leclerc won last year, and before him, Max won twice in 2021 and 2023, with Sergio Perex in between. Red Bull won four of the previous six races here. Mercedes has 15 victories, one more than Ford, and it is the most successful engine manufacturer in Monte Carlo, while McLaren leads the constructors’ table with the same number of victories.
Ayrton Sena has six victories here, one more than Graham Hill and Michael Schumacher, while Lewis Hamilton has the most of all the active drivers, three. Alonso and Max have two.
Monaco F1 2025 Predictions
This will be very tough to explain, but our guts tell us we must take Lewis Hamilton to reach the podium. Speed won’t play a huge factor here, but adjustments and adaptations, which is why we believe that Lewis has an excellent chance of reaching the podium.
The Brit has problems with his vehicle, which is obviously slower and worse than Leclerc’s (I don’t know why). This is a perfect chance for him to use his skills because Monaco is more about skills and feelings than car performances. So yes, our pick will be Lewis Hamilton on the podium.
