After an off-week last weekend, the LIV Golf Tour is back in action on Friday with LIV Golf Chicago. This is the tour’s third-to-last tournament of the year, with LIV Golf Indianapolis coming up next weekend and the LIV Team Championship Michigan rounding out the season on the weekend of August 24.

LIV Golf Chicago will be played over 54 holes, with no cut, in both team and individual formats. The prize fund is $5 million for an individual and $20 million for the winning team.

Event Information

This is the second year that LIV Golf Chicago will run at Bolingbrook Golf Club, about an hour west of Downtown Chicago. The course was designed by renowned golf course architect Arthur Hills and is quickly becoming a favorite of professional and amateur players in the American Midwest.

Bolingbrook Golf Club is set at a 7,408-yard, par-71 course.

LIV Golf Chicago 2025 Odds

LIV Golf Chicago 2025 to win with BetXchange:

Individual

Team

He is the third favorite to win in Chicago, but Joaquin Niemann has been on a tear this season. He won last time at the LIV Golf UK event, his fifth win on the 11 tour stops in 2025. Niemann is the only player to have won more than once this campaign, with favorite Jon Rahm still to claim his maiden victory on the LIV Tour in 2025.

Rahm has been much more successful in the team event. His Legion Xiii team has won the last two tournaments and four overall this year. Rahm and Tyrell Hatton give Legion Xiii the best one-two punch in the team event, though both Fireballs GC (Sergio Garca) and Crushers GC (Bryson DeChameau) each have three wins on the year.

LIV Golf Chicago 2025 Leading Contenders

You have to start this list with Niemann. The Chilean was runner-up here last year, so he knows the course well and is on the hottest winning streak of his career.

Rahm is too good a player to go an entire season without winning, but this event and the one in Indy next weekend are his only two chances to be atop the podium in 2025. DeChambeau can never be ruled out, while there is value further down the betting with the likes of Garcia (40/1) and Dustin Johnson (50/1) always a danger if they find their best form over three days of golf.

Tom McKibbin is 35/1 and another to watch out for. He is 15th in the LIV Golf standings and has a history of being impressive on US golf courses. He has four top-10s this season, and it feels like a win on the tour is just around the corner.

LIV Golf Chicago 2025 Prediction

I am not overthinking this one. A win for Niemann would mean he has won an absurd half of the events on tour this year. Go with the hot hand, especially when the hot hand is third favorite in a field with no better, dominant option.

Pick: Joaquin Niemann – 7/1
