The 10th edition of the RSM Classic gets underway in Georgia with a strong field assembled once more in 2019. The event is played across three courses; the Sea Island Golf Club, the Seaside course and the Plantation course – ensuring that the players face a multitude of challenges across the weekend. PGA stalwarts Kevin Kisner, Ben Crane and Charles Howell III are just some of the winning alumni at the event that holds a rather handsome prize purse of $6.6 million in 2019 – with over $1.1 million on offer for the winner.

Plenty of PGA Tour regulars make up the field in Georgia this week with precious ranking points and prize money on offer:-
Two-time major winner Webb Simpson has been in fantastic form in 2019 and he currently sits 12th on the PGA Tour money list. He is one of the favourites here in a packed field this week Georgia.
Fresh off the back of a top 10 finish at the Mayakoba Classic last time out, 2016 runner up Billy Horschel will arrive in Georgia full of confidence.
Defending champion Charles Howell III is currently ranked just outside the top 50 on the PGA Tour money list and he will be hoping to pick up another big win here in Georgia.
Kevin Kisner won this event in 2016 and he will be looking to emulate that success here in 2019. The American is 34th in the PGA Tour rankings and he will be hoping to scale the money list with the Ryder Cup on the horizon next year.
American Harris English will be hoping to build on his strong showing at the Mayakoba Classic last week (5th place) and he will fancy his chances on a course well suited to his playing style.
1st Round Leader
Producing the goods over 72 holes is often the most difficult thing for any golfer to do therefore here are our first round leader picks:-
South African Dylan Frittelli finished with a flourish at the Mayakoba Classic last weekend and his fine form all season should make him one of the front runners here in Georgia.
Seasoned American Brian Gay produced a stellar performance in Mexico last weekend, finishing inside the top 15 and he will arrive here full of confidence.
Canadian Adam Hadwin has been absent from the tour for almost a month and he could return refreshed and ready to go here on a Georgian course that should suit his game.
Top Ten Finish
With so many quality players assembled here in Georgia, getting into the winning enclosure could be tough but there are plenty of candidates to finish in the top 10 come Sunday:-
American stalwart Matt Kuchar has struggled for consistency this season but he has plenty of game left in the tank and he could be in contention throughout this week.
Swede Alex Noren hasn’t enjoyed his best season on the European Tour and he will be hoping to find some form on the PGA Tour this season and the course in Georgia should be a good fit for him.
Brendon Todd enjoyed an incredible week at the Mayakoba Classic in Mexico last time out, winning the title and he will be hoping to emulate that performance here in Georgia..
