Central Africa Republic (CAR) v Mauritania
Mauritania are on the cusp of qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations for the second time in their history to follow the feat they achieved in 2019. The equation is simple for the Lions of Chinguetti as they must avoid defeat against unpredictable CAR away from home in Bangui to book a place in the tournament. On the other hand, CAR have a lot to play for as a win will take them to seven points and second place if Burundi lose to Morocco. This match is close to call but smart money is on CAR because they are playing at home.
Pick: CAR Wins 1.28 at BetXChange
Morocco v Burundi
This is another important match of Group E as Burundi has a good chance of qualifying even though their fate is not entirely in their hands. For them to make it, they will have to beat Morocco in Rabat while at the same time hoping that Mauritania and Central African Republic (CAR) play to a draw. A tough match to call but we go with Morocco to achieve their mission of completing the qualification programme without defeat.
Pick: Morocco Wins 0.37 at BetXChange
Sierra Leone v Benin
Benin goes into this match as slight favourites to progress because they enjoy a better head to head record after they defeated Sierra Leone in the first round. A draw will be enough for Benin to qualify for the tournament together with log-leaders Nigeria who have already qualified. Nigeria takes on Lesotho in the other match of the group where they will be looking to end their campaign with victory.
Pick: Benin Wins 1.50 at BetXChange
Guinea Bissau v DR Congo
Congo goes into this match with advantage of a better head to head record but Guinea Bissau are slight favourites purely because of home ground advantage. All Guinea Bissau need to do in this match is to claim their second successive win and they will progress to the tournament together with group leaders Senegal who are in action with no-hopers Eswatini.
Pick: Guinea Bissau Wins 1.46 at BetXChange
Madagascar v Niger
Madagascar will rue the fact that they find themselves in this situation going into the last round of qualifiers as they blew a good opportunity to cement second spot over the past two matches. For them to make it to Cameroon, Madagascar will have to get all the three points against bottom of the log Niger in Antananarivo while at the same time hope that Ethiopia drop points against log-leaders and already qualified Ivory Coast.
Pick: Madagascar Wins 0.27 at BetXChange
