The Bundesliga race continues with the 22nd round, in which the main game takes place in Dortmund, where Borussia hosts RB Leipzig. This should be a spectacle, as both units aim not only for the top-four place yet potentially hope to reach the title.
The champions, Bayern Munich, head to Stuttgart, where they meet the unpredictable hosts, while Union Berlin hosts Koln in search of consolation for last week’s defeat against Bayern.
For those who want to see the preview for Serie A round 25, it’s on this link.
Borussia Dortmund VS RB Leipzig
The Millionaires are in fantastic shape this year, and for now, Borussia looks unstoppable. Even though they had luck in the previous couple of games (Chelsea and Hoffenheim, for example), they still managed to end up winning. Right now, Dortmund rides a nine-game victorious streak. At Signal-Iduna, we saw them posting four triumphs scoring 14 goals.
RB has just one defeat in the past nine games, with two draws and six victories. Their position would be much better if they beat Union at home instead of losing 1-2. After that, the Bulls were better than Wolfsburg on the road, 0-3, played 1-1 against Man City, and beat Eintracht 2-1 at the Red Bull Arena.
With both teams emphasizing offense, sometimes neglecting the defense, the best pick here would be both teams scoring. These two sides have tremendous forwards, while their defenses aren’t that confident.
Pick: Both teams to score 1/2 at BetXchange
Stuttgart VS Bayern Munich
The hosts aren’t very good since the restart of the activities, posting just one victory in the Bundesliga while suffering four defeats and having two draws. Seven of their eight events, including the one in DFB Pokal, saw moderate efficiency, that is, two or three goals, conceding multiple times on five occasions.
Bayern was very confident against Union, packing in three goals inside the first 45 minutes and solving the game early on. It was the fifth victory for the champions in the recent six events, and in the same number of matches, we saw them netting at least twice.
We believe that the Bavarians will use Stuttgart’s problems in the back line to record another victory. Simply, when Bayern finds a weak spot, they utilize it in the best possible way, and we need to say that Stuttgart has too many flaws.
Pick: Bayern Munich 2/5 at BetXchange
Union Berlin VS Koln
The team from Berlin couldn’t do much better against Bayern. Union didn’t have enough power to stand up against the well-rested hosts, and the outcome was pretty much logical. It was the first loss for them after nine straight.
The Billy Goats have back-to-back failures in which they couldn’t score a single goal. The first was against Stuttgart on the road, 3-0 and then against Wolfsburg at home, 0-2. They looked rather good earlier, not losing in five matches before these two.
Union is solid at home, and the team from Berlin had enough time to recover and rest, which should be enough to defeat the shaky visitors.
Pick: Union Berlin 9/10 at BetXchange
Bayer Leverkusen VS Hertha
The situation at Bay Arena isn’t good at all, even though Bayer is still in contention for winning the Europa League. The team is in the lower part of the standings, playing poorly these days – one Bundesliga victory in five contests.
Hertha had four straight losses before winning twice in the past three events, both times at home. However, they are terrible on the road, conceding ten times in the most recent three outings.
Pick: Leverkusen 1/2 at BetXchange
Wolfsburg VS Eintracth Frankfurt
These clubs sit next to each other in the standings and are fighting for the international stage. The Eagles are in a better position, but Wolfsburg still hopes to make a breakthrough and moves up.
The Wolves had four losses and a draw before winning on the road in Koln last weekend, 0-2. Eintracht is highly unstable, losing and winning matches usually with a high number of goals involved.
Our pick here would be over 2.5 scores because Wolfsburg also likes to play open and efficient football.
