Currie Cup action returns this weekend with the table-topping Sharks travelling to Nelspruit for their clash against the Pumas on Friday evening with two more matches scheduled for on Saturday.

Action will resume on Saturday when the Griquas host the Bulls in Kimberley and the Cheetahs face the Lions in Bloemfontein with all the teams looking respective wins to boost their positions on the log.

Pumas VS Sharks

The Pumas thumped the Lions by a big score in their second match of the competition but subsequent losses to Griquas and the Cheetahs mean they will be desperate for a good performance against the high-flying Sharks.

Sharks coach Etienne Fynn has named an experienced side for this important clash against the unpredictable Pumas at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on Friday night.

With no United Rugby Championship action this weekend for South African teams, an opening has opened for Currie Cup allowing Fynn to include a number of experienced players in the team.
