The DStv Premiership continues this weekend where the chasing pack will be looking to close the gap on runaway leaders Mamelodi Sundowns who are enjoying a sizeable seventeen point lead at the top.

Looking to close the gap on Mamelodi Sundowns are Royal AM who are visiting SuperSport United in Pretoria and Kaizer Chiefs who are traveling to struggling Baroka in Polokwane.

Sundowns will not be overtaken despite the fact that they are involved in Caf Champions League action against Egyptian giants Al Ahly in Cairo.

The other South African team in continental action is AmaZulu who are hosting ES Setif of Algeria in Durban while Orlando Pirates have made a short trip to Eswatini to take on Royal Leopards in the Confederation Cup.

Maritzburg United VS Golden Arrows

The two teams on the back of contrasting recent fortunes with Maritzburg United enjoying confidence after they beat SuperSport United in their last outing while Golden Arrows lost to Cape Town City.

In fact, Golden Arrows are on a five match winless streak after four successive draws with Orlando Pirates, Swallows, TS Galaxy and Royal AM and the loss to Cape Town City.

Sekhukhune United VS Swallows

At the beginning of the season, many football fans and pundits alike had Sekhukhune United as relegation candidates but they have proved everyone wrong with a good maiden run in the Premier Soccer League (PSL).

They go into this match with confidence sky high after a sensational 4-0 win over Baroka last weekend to move to sixth place and Swallows will have to be at his best to beat them.

Baroka VS Kaizer Chiefs

Without doubt, the most expected match of the weekend sees Amakhosi hit the road to Polokwane to meet wounded Baroka who were thrashed by Sekhukhune United last weekend.

Chiefs, who have blown hot and cold this season, will be fully aware that a win can move them to second place while Baroka will be targeting maximum points to move from the bottom of the table.
