The main event sees South African fighting pioneer Wesley Hawkey take on England’s Jay Cucciniello in a five round battle.
Hawkey is a home town boy and is a veteran in terms of South African MMA, making his debut at EFC 10. Hawkey has had highs and lows over his career and has come close to the top a number of times. At EFC 14 he dominated undefeated Pena for 4 rounds before a choke hold in the 5th round by Pena forcing him to tap out. He has 14 wins in MMA with superb movement and striking ability and as a veteran of MMA he has big match temperament and will thrive fighting in front of a local crowd.
Cucciniello is an ex-military man having served time in Iraq and Afghanistan and boasts and remarkable MMA record of 7 wins with no losses. He has a strong all round game with impressive striking ability but is also as good on the mat with skilful grappling capability.

Mostert vs Misholas Heavyweight Bout
Another headline fight that promises to deliver is the match between heavy hitting DRC powerhouse, Ricky Misholas, and former heavyweight title contender Wessel Mostert.
Misholas made his debut at EFC 12 and is an icon of the EFC, not so much for his record of 5 wins and 6 losses, but for his devastating right hand that has caused a number of knock outs in the EFC. Misholas has improved his ground game and is looking to step up to a title contention in a tough heavyweight division.
Mostert has had a solid start to his EFC career winning his first 3 fights with first round knockouts. His only loss has come in his title shot against champion, Van Zyl, where he lost in the 3rd round by TKO. Mostert is a true heavy weight, throwing hard, heavy punches but also has a sound grappling ability. Another win will put him in contention for another title shot.
