Preview

Manchester City VS Bournemouth

The Citizens opened the championship with a win on the road in London, where they beat West Ham, 0-2. After a few years, Guardiola’s unit finally won against the Hammers on the road, displaying a perfect game. Haaland found his rhythm immediately, making a massive impact on the processes on the field, netting a goal, and setting up one.

The Cherries had a marvelous start at home where they posted a triumph over Aston Villa, 2-0. It was a superb start for the newcomer, who won the promotion last year, and an additional swing for the upcoming games.

Now, we are pretty sure that Bournemouth isn’t counting on points in Manchester, but the guests will fight to make a sensation. With all due respect towards them, we think that the Cherries don’t have the power to stop Haaland and the Citizens’ ruthless attack. That’s why we bet on the hosts’ win with a -1.5-goal handicap.

Pick: Manchester City -1.5 1/4 at BetXchange

Southampton VS Leeds United

The Saints opened the game against Tottenham flawlessly but after that stopped allowing the hosts to wipe the floor with them. Truth be told, the Spurs are far better than Southampton, and there was no way for Hasenhuttl’s boys to stay unbeaten. This is a very unpredictable team, that got a couple of young players during this summer transfer window who have to adapt to the new environment.

Leeds came back against Wolverhampton, winning 2-1 in the end, following a slow start. The Peacocks are one very good bunch that had a lot of trouble with injuries last year, but is now ready to make up for all the missed in the past.

This is a perfect encounter for goals on both ends. Why? First of all, the Saints need to attack because they play at home, and Leeds isn’t some particularly good defensive unit. On the other hand, the Peacocks possess a strong and very efficient offensive crew, much better than Southampton’s defense when looking at matchups.

Pick: Both teams to score 3/5 at BetXchange

Chelsea VS Tottenham

Something isn’t right in Chelsea, and that is obvious. Thomas Tuchel isn’t pleased with the team, and he is increasing the anxiety among the fans with radical transfers at the finish of the transfer deadline. The Blues did win on the road against Everton, but their game was mediocre.

Tottenham showed their power and flair against Southampton, winning 4-1. Spurs looked fast, energetic, and very direct, which is, in fact, the main characteristic of Conte and his units. Kane and Son didn’t score a single goal, which is odd, but Spurs won.

The odds are favouring the Blues in this game, which isn’t realistic due to their current form. We are picking a double chance draw or Tottenham. It seems that the atmosphere in their locker room is far better now.

Pick: Tottenham or draw 2/3 at BetXchange

Liverpool VS Crystal Palace

The Reds slipped right away in the opening round, playing out a 2-2 draw against Fulham at Craven Cottage. Meanwhile, Palace lost at home to Arsenal, 0-2. So neither side was happy with last week’s outcomes and they need to step up and erase that on Monday.

The difference between the Reds and the Eagles is very big, and the recent head-to-head games are telling us that. Palace scored only one goal in the past five clashes.

Pick: Liverpool Wins 1/5 at BetXchange
