English Premier League Gameweek 24 includes several fantastic matchups. Among them, we have one in Leicester where Foxes meet Liverpool, and the other at Etihad, with Man City hosting Tottenham Spurs. Short previews of these and all other matchups of this round are available in the next few paragraphs.
Leicester vs. Liverpool
Even though Foxes have mixed results, they are still in a much better position than the Reds, who experienced a massive slap in the face last weekend at Anfield, once City rolled over them, 1-4. It was the second straight loss for the champs, while Leicester has two wins and a draw in the past three, without a goal conceded. Due to that, we won’t bet on high efficiency here.
Pick: Under 2.5 goals 1.20 at BetXChange
Crystal Palace vs. Burnley
The Eagles are massacred with injuries and have multiple problems due to that. Their biggest luck here is that Burnley plays terribly lately, with three losses and a draw in four previous games, with just one goal scored during that stretch. Clarets will try to defend, that is for sure, so go with low efficiency here.
Pick: Under 2.5 goals 0.57 at BetXChange
Brighton vs. Aston Villa
With the injuries came a slowdown, which is why Seagulls haven’t won in the previous two matches. They have numerous absent players. On the other side, the Villains managed to defeat Arsenal at home and continue its hot and cold performances. We give them a slight edge here because hosts won’t have some of their important players involved in Saturday’s event.
Pick: Aston Villa 1.50 at BetXChange
Manchester City vs. Tottenham
The derby of the round, with two old rivals facing one another, Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho. The Spaniard is on a 15-game winning streak, the new record in England, while his colleague on the other side isn’t satisfied with his team’s performances. The Spurs have four losses in the past five games. With all due respect towards the Spurs, they will be an easy catch for the Citizens.
Pick: City 0.28 at BetXChange
Southampton vs. Wolves
Two teams who promised a lot, but are now in a very tough spot. Though, the hosts are much worse than the Wolves right now. The Saints have four losses in a row, one of them 9-0 at Trafford. In the previous event, poor Newcastle managed to defeat them, which says a lot about the current form of this unit. Wolves are struggling, and playing dull matches, with four of the previous five seeing one or no goals.
Pick: Under 2.5 goals 0.60 at BetXChange
WBA vs. Manchester United
This is the last opportunity for the Red Devils to save theoretical chances for staying in the title race. For the Baggies, every match is of vital importance as they still sit hammered in the relegation zone. To be honest, they are probably going to get back to the Championship, as they don’t have the quality for anything better than that. United will win here easily.
Pick: United -1.5 0.85 at BetXChange
Arsenal vs. Leeds
This game has the potential to be one of the most interesting in the entire round. The two teams have a similar quality, and are very unstable in the past few games. Arsenal, as usual, struggles with inconsistency in the back line, and allows goals when needed the least. Meanwhile, the Peacocks do seem a little bit better, with three wins in four games, scoring twice in each of those triumphs.
Pick: Both teams to score 0.55 at BetXChange
Everton vs. Fulham
We will cut to the chase here, immediately, Everton is better than Fulham. Period. Bet on their win here.
Pick: Everton 0.85 at BetXChange
West Ham vs. Sheffield United
The same applies here as for the above-mentioned pair. The Hammers are on a much higher level of play than the Blades. This is an easy pick, so we won’t waste any of your time.
Pick: West Ham 0.65 at BetXChange
Chelsea vs. Newcastle
Since Thomas Tuchell sat on Chelsea’s bench, the Blues are much tougher in the back line and look much stronger overall. The German’s philosophy of play brought immediate results, posting three wins and one draw since his arrival, with just one goal allowed. We aren’t diminishing the Magpies once telling you that they don’t stand a chance at Stamford.
Pick: Chelsea -1.5 0.75 at BetXChange
