The sixth round of the English Premier League is ahead. The central event of the entire weekend is at the Emirates, where Arsenal hosts Tottenham in another edition of the North London Derby. Apart from that contest, interesting ones are at Stamford, with Chelsea meeting Aston Villa, Liverpool, where hosts meet with West Ham, and in Manchester, with the champions, City, playing against Nottingham.

Arsenal VS Tottenham Preview

The Gunners were fantastic in the Champions League, trashing PSV and making a big swing ahead of the game against their hated neighbors. Arsenal plays good and efficient football, with plenty of goals. For the moment, Arteta’s boys have three consecutive victories and six in the previous seven events.

On the other hand is Tottenham, who has four wins and a draw in the Premier League, sitting with the Gunners right behind Man City. In all five EPL meetings, the Spurs have scored at least two goals, playing attractive and very flamboyant football. They, too, had a huge morale boost last weekend, flipping the score against Sheffield United, scoring two goals deep in the stoppage time to earn three points.

Goals are in our focus regarding this matchup, and we expect to see at least three of them on Sunday afternoon. Both teams have superb offenses, which should result in a high number of scores.

Chelsea VS Aston Villa

The Blues are more than criticized this season. And how wouldn’t they be, when there is practically nothing good in their performances? A lot of money has been invested into this unit, which, in return, isn’t providing anything. One win in five EPL contests is enough to back up all our claims.

Aston Villa, meanwhile, is on the ascend. Their performances over the recent weeks have seen one hell of an improvement compared to those at the start of the year, and we particularly mean on that 5-1 loss to Newcastle at St. James. It seems that Unai Emery has finally caught a positive vibe.

The defensive struggles Chelsea displayed have made us believe they will for sure allow one goal here. Meanwhile, The Blues do have a good attack, and should be able to net themselves at least once, so both teams scoring is the final pick.

Liverpool VS West Ham

The Reds don’t have UCL matches anymore and won’t use their top players that often in the Europa League. Liverpool opened the year with a tie in London against Chelsea, and after that, took four victories in a row, scoring 11 goals in total. They’ve been on a rampage ever since that contest at Stamford.

The Hammers were undefeated until last weekend when they hosted Manchester City, 1-3. David Moyes’ unit competed well in the opening 45 minutes but after that, collapsed in the latter sequence. All five of their EPL encounters have seen both teams netting.

Liverpool is very aggressive at Anfield, attacking and pressuring the rivals throughout all 90 minutes. The Reds are favorites here, and we do expect to see them beating the formidable guests.

Pick: Liverpool 2/5 at BetXchange

Manchester City VS Nottingham Forest

The Citizens had a scare in the UEFA Champions League against the Red Star, losing at halftime but eventually winning. This will no doubt focus the champs better before the meeting against Forest. There is no need to explain this team too much because we already know everything about them.

Forest is in the upper part of the standings, having two wins, one draw, and two losses, both on the road, against big teams (Arsenal and Man Utd), and after a lead. They rely on counter-attacks and aren’t very gifted in the midfield, which is the reason why they can’t defend properly once the rivals begin pressuring.

The last sentence of the previous paragraph explains why we expect City to triumph by a high margin.

Pick: Man City -1.5 2/5 at BetXchange
