Europa League semis close out today with return legs, one in Manchester and the other in Bodo. Both matchups are more or less solved, though there might be some drama in Norway. Bodo has a two-goal deficit, yet overall, Tottenham is still the favorite to win the second leg.
As for United, they are up 3-0, and have everything in their hands. For many, this team has already secured the finals. However, the Red Devils managed to find a way to destroy themselves too many times this year. Because of this, Amorim’s unit needs to be on watch and very, very careful.
Check here for the Europa League odds.
Bodo/Glimt VS Tottenham Preview
Bodo is one of the surprises in this year’s Europa League. The Norwegian team plays very fluid and appealing football, not respecting a single opponent so far, always trying to impose their own style of play. What’s their characteristic is that no matter the result, this unit is always after one more goal.
This especially applies to the games played at their stadium, which is a bit smaller than the others in the competition. Also, the surface is artificial, which is an additional advantage over the rivals due to a much higher and harder pace of the game.
Bodo played five Europa League games at home, winning all of them and scoring at least two goals in each. The opponents were Besiktas, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Twente, Olympiacos, and Lazio.
Manchester United and Tottenham are in the bottom six of the Premier League but could potentially win a European trophy this season 😈

Tottenham lost James Maddison in the worst possible moment, and we think the injuries are killing the Spurs repeatedly. Someone from the management should take care of their physio and medical staff, because they aren’t doing their job well.
Other than this, Tottenham’s whole season will depend on its success in this competition, and Ange Postecoglou’s job will also depend on it. The Spurs played against West Ham over the weekend, ending that one with a tie, 1-1. Four of their past game have seen both teams netting. Believe it or not, Tottenham has just one clean sheet in the previous 15 matches.
When looking at the results on the road, they have just two victories over the recent 10 outings outside Tottenham Stadium. Seven matches saw the Spurs lose, and one, the one against West Ham, was a tie.
We expect plenty of goals in this game, at least three. Bodo will come out strong, as they have to chase the deficit, while Tottenham plays an efficient game during the entire season, with goals on both ends. Therefore, we pick over 2.5 goals here.
- Pick: Over 2.5 goals
Manchester United VS Bilbao Preview
United lost to Brentford this Sunday, 4-3. However, that isn’t of concern to their fans because the EPL race was long gone for this unit. All eyes are now on the Europa League finals, which are within their reach. United won the first game 3-0, pretty much solving everything, and now just has to endure the rematch without any turbulence.
Amorim’s guys aren’t playing some excellent football these days. Three wins in the past 10 matches reflect that well. Besides that, we’ve seen them post three ties and four losses.
The Red Devils oscillate a lot, with them experiencing blackouts in the defensive line. What might be problematic tonight is that De Ligt and Lisandro Martinez won’t appear due to injuries.
Bilbao had several big chances to take the lead in the first meeting, yet the hosts wasted each, and as a result, United was up a couple of goals pretty quickly. It was harsh for all present at San Mames, as they hoped to see their team in the finals at the same stadium.
The offense has struggled to perform well over the last couple of weeks. Bilbao couldn’t score in three of the previous four events, and that’s a sign of alarm. Now, there’s one even worse data – Bilbao didn’t score in the last four away games.
Sure, Ernesto Valverde’s boys don’t plan to give up tonight, yet they need to be much more focused and lethal in the attack if they want to have any chances for pulling out one of the greatest sensations of all time.
Our pick here is for the game to end with a moderate efficiency, meaning 2 or 3 goals. United will slow down and be very careful, while on the other hand, despite the pressure and need, Bilbao can’t impose a high pace, because they don’t have the players for that. So, moderate efficiency looks like the best possible pick here.
- Pick: 2 or 3 goals
