The UEFA Champions League semifinals are on, and we here bring the preview for the first legs of both matchups. As you already know, Arsenal hosts PSG and Barcelona meets Inter Milan.
In addition to the preview, you will see our betting picks, while the odds are available at this link.
Arsenal VS PSG
The Gunners played their previous event a week ago, with them hosting Crystal Palace at home. It was 2-2 after 90 minutes, but to be honest, the Gunners haven’t pushed hard because they are already second, and have this game coming up.
Arteta can be happy because his offense finally woke up. Despite dealing with injuries up front, Arsenal have managed to score two or more goals in four of their last five games. Also, the Gunners are without a loss for the past dozen matches, posting six draws and triumphs apiece.
PSG faced Nice on Friday night at Parc des Princes and lost 1-3 at home. However, it’s worth noting that they rested all their key players for the London match. With the Ligue 1 title already secured, they had their focus set on this upcoming showdown with Arsenal.
Looking at PSG’s recent form, both teams have scored in eight of their last nine games, and four of their previous five matches have finished with both teams scoring and over 2.5 goals. Their defense isn’t exactly airtight, but their attack usually makes up for it.

We need to mention that the two teams met this year in the Champions League and that Arsenal won in front of its own crowd. It was 2-0 for the Gunners with Saka and Havertz scoring.
Regarding the pick here, this event is shaping into a tight and tactical battle. PSG will look to slow the game down and control possession, and Arteta tends to do the same in big matches. Chances might be few and far between here, so the best bet looks like under 2.5 goals.
Barcelona VS Inter Milan
Barca is looking wonderful this season, and the Catalonian team has scored four or more goals in a single game on 21 occasions. They are coming off a win in the Copa del Rey finals in El Clasico, beating Real Madrid after extra times, 3-2. They were up, then down in this one, but overall, they managed to beat the biggest rivals without Lewandowski, who was injured.
Hansi Flick’s unit is in very good shape, having won 12 of its past 15 appearances in all competitions. Plus, they haven’t been beaten at home since late December.

Inter, on the other hand, are going through a rough patch. They failed to score in back-to-back matches, losing 1-0 to Bologna and then getting hammered 3-0 by AC Milan in the Coppa Italia semifinals. It’s clear that something’s off with Inzaghi’s team right now.
Plus, a defeat to AS Roma this Sunday has removed them from the top spot in Serie A. It was 0-1 and a huge morale-killer for Nerazzurri, who won’t have too much time to rest and prepare for Barca. One thing about their defense—Inter have kept a clean sheet in just two of their last ten away games.
This should be an easy win for Barcelona. Even though there aren’t such things this late in the UEFA Champions League, knowing Barca’s current form and their mentality, Inter doesn’t stand too many chances here. Simply, their back line is too vulnerable, and even if Inzaghi sets up defensive-minded tactics, Barca has all the tools to solve that and win.
