There are five more F1 events until the end of the season, and the way things stand, we just might get the three-way title race instead of two. The reigning champion, Max Verstappen, is on fire, and the Dutchman is flying high ahead of the clash at the Hermanos Rodriguez Autodromo.
Oscar Piastri still leads, though Lando Norris has cut the deficit between him and the Aussie in the last race in the United States, increasing the tension.

The results on Sunday could decide the title battle, and we can’t wait for the green light to appear and start the race. Though before that, stick with us to see the preview for this event, along with some Formula 1 odds.
Mexico City Grand Prix Track Facts
- Circuit length – 4.304 km (2.674 miles)
- Race length – 305.354 km (189.738 miles)
- Laps – 71
- Last winner – Carlos Sainz Jr.
- Most wins – Max Verstappen 5
Mexico City is set at 2240 meters above sea level, which means the air density is low. This increases the engines’ power and significantly alters the circumstances, thereby modifying the teams’ respective tactics.
More power and speed mean the tires wear out much more quickly, and the fuel management needs to be different. For every 350 meters above sea level, the engine’s power increases by 3%.
All this means that the drivers would have to adjust to significantly different circumstances. We’ll see how that affects them and their performance on the track.
As you might anticipate, we are heading into a very turbulent and interesting weekend.
Mexico City Grand Prix History
Last year, Ferrari had an excellent result in Mexico. Carlos Sainz Jr. won and had the pole position, while Lando Norris ended second. Charles Leclerc, another Prancing Horse driver, finished third, and he had the fastest lap.
Max Verstappen, who has 5 wins here, was 6th. It was his worst performance in Mexico in years, as the Dutch reigned on this track, posting incredible results and using the full power of his Red Bull.
Many believe the altitude will again favor his vehicle, especially since Ferrari isn’t in last year’s form. Neither Hamilton nor Leclerc can find their rhythm, and apart from that, Ferrari looks very limited in terms of its power on the track.
What’s the Situation in the General Classification
No. 1 is still Piastri, with 346 points. He has 14 points more than teammate Norris. Many F1 experts suggest we might see Norris favored by the team at the end of the season, given his background and his British nationality.
Simply. Lovely.@Max33Verstappen 👏#F1 #USGP pic.twitter.com/FClyRlsryb

Meanwhile, Verstappen is on fire, and he is only 40 points away from the top spot, meaning that we just might see this guy getting back to the top next week. He has three wins in the last four races, which speaks volumes about his current form and the condition of his vehicle. Red Bull was incredible in those days, completely dominating all the qualifiers and training sessions.
One guy who could ruin everyone’s plans here is George Russell, as he has driven well in the past two months and his Mercedes is showing considerable improvement compared to the start of the season.
Ferrari’s form is constant, yet overall, mediocre, and the Prancing Horse is nowhere near last year’s performances at this stage of the season.
