La Liga is ahead of round 19, and we can say things are starting to heat up, with Barcelona moving away from Real at the top of the standings. Real Sociedad is behind, hoping to make some sort of a surprise and come out of the dark to snatch the trophy ahead of the two big rivals.

The biggest game of the round is at Santiago Bernabeu, where Real Madrid hosts Real Sociedad, and that will be our first game in this week’s coverage.

Real Madrid VS Real Sociedad

Sunday night is reserved for the match between the second and the third team in the standings. We’ve explained the gap in points and everything, which is why this event might have title implications. Real recovered from a loss against Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup, 1-3. After that Real was better than Villarreal 2-3 and Atletico Madrid in Copa Del Rey, 3-1, and on the road in Bilbao 0-2, which was a La Liga clash.

Sociedad has been superb in the past few week, winning seven games in a row before losing to Barcelona in Copa del Rey at Camp Nou, 1-0. Previously they’ve won three Cup games in Coria, Logrones, and at home to Mallorca, and three La Liga clashes which catapulted them all the way to third place. Believe it or not they’ve kept five clean sheets during this stretch.

Despite that excellent defense, Real Sociedad will lose at Bernabeu because of the hosts’ quality. To make it simple, Real’s team is better in almost every position, plus it has a home-field edge.

Pick: Real Madrid 2/3 at BetXchange

Girona VS Barcelona

The home team has four points more than the relegation strugglers, and everyone from now on is worth a solid goal. They aren’t playing some consistent football which is why they have only one victory in the past five events, with two draws and losses. All but one of those events were with both teams scoring and over 2.5 hits.

Barcelona is slowly catching more and more speed and now was seven victories in a row. In the meantime, Blaugrana took the Super Cup, beating Real, which is always beneficial for morale. Barca’s defense locked its lock by having three consecutive clean sheets.

Girona plays open and offensive football, and Barca likes that. That’s why we bet on the guests.

Osasuna VS Atletico Madrid

The home unit is on fire following a win in Copa del Rey, their first in almost two decades. Overall, the hosts play good football and don’t have a defeat in the past six appearances. The majority of them were draws or victories after extra times (all three in Copa del Rey). Each event saw under 2.5 scores.

Atleti comes off a failure in Copa del Rey with the local rivals, Real, beating Colo Simeone’s crew in extra times, 3-1. This unit is solid on the road, with five triumphs in nine outings, adding two draws and losses.

This is a game that isn’t promising too many goals, judging by the recent respective results. Therefore, we take under 2.5 scores.

Pick: Under 2.5 goals 3/5 BetXchange

Valladolid VS Valencia

Valladolid is the first team under the red line, but has the same number of points as a few more teams placed above them. However, this crew has five straight losses, not scoring a single goal during that negative skid.

Valencia has yet to win in La Liga since the end of the World Cup. Overall, five of the previous seven encounters were with over 2.5 goals. They score frequently but also concede.

The odds on Valencia’s win are very, very tempting and there is a massive value in this one.

Pick: Valencia 7/5 at BetXchange
